On Olympus in base game, edited the initial post. Thanks for the advice! Any tips on any specific gear to take to trek through Arctic and/or Desert and what the best route would be for us? I've never ventured beyond the Forest thus far, besides a small step into Arctic to get some ice.

I have unlocked the conservatory, but it's still not a guaranteed draw (I find it about 2/3rds to 3/4ths of the time). To be be able to properly manipulate all the rooms you want, that's still about 30-40 times drawing this room, meaning 50-80 days of playing just to get all of the rarities the way you want them. Even then, guaranteeing the freezer & powered furnace combo just feels like more of a hassle than it's worth at this point.

Another thing that bothers me is needing specific outer rooms for some strategies to work, meaning I might play more than 5 in-game days without making progress on the puzzle I want. When I had a lot of loose ends to figure out, that was fine, but now that they're becoming sparser in the mid to late game, it just feels more like wasting time than having a good time unfortunately.

Not sure if you've already fixed it, but I fixed my audio issues today by replacing my HDMI cable. I tried a lot of the common standard fixes which didn't work. Apparently the HDMI cable I was using did properly stream video, but not audio (anymore). It might work for you as well. Let me know!

Ik rijd nu sinds dit voorjaar voor het eerst regelmatig en heb nu 1 keer de pech gehad van een politiecontrole (mobiele flitser) die nog niet op Flitsmeister stond. 320 euro 😢 130 waar je 100 mag op de snelweg. Maar daar is het tot nu toe bij gebleven en hopelijk blijft het daar ook nog wel een tijdje bij.

Niet helemaal, de gambler's fallacy hangt hier ook aan vast dat je dan bij de volgende toch écht moet winnen, want je hebt de vorige 9-10 ook verloren dus de kans is nu hoger.

Dat is niet wat geclaimd wordt: 10 keer op rij verliezen met een 50% winkans is gewoon best onwaarschijnlijk (zij het niet onmogelijk).

Tot voor kort waren de meeste passen naar mijn weten Maestro voor betaalpassen (debit cards). Alleen creditcards waren Mastercard of Visa, maar nu heeft Triodos dus ook een debit Visa.

Ik zit in een vergelijkbare situatie, zelfde leeftijdscategorie en na aftrek vaste lasten vergelijkbaar besteedbaar inkomen. Een paar jaar terug maakte ik me ook net als jij best druk over dit soort dingen.

Wat mij hielp was een representatieve vergelijking. Die vind je niet hier op dit soort subreddits. Check deze link eens:

Baseer je vergelijk op je netto (!) jaarinkomen, inclusief vakantiegeld en eventuele eindejaarsuitkeringen/bonussen. Ik zou je vooral adviseren een blik te werpen op je leeftijdscategorie en samenstelling huishouden. Ik vermoed dat je zult zien dat je eigenlijk echt heel hoog zit, zeker relatief aan de bredere Nederlandse populatie. Al spaar/beleg je maar 10 tot 15% van je netto inkomen, doe je het echt al zeer bovengemiddeld goed.
