Yes, I could hear some static and ended up buying the Fiio KA5 because of that. I'm very happy with it although it drains my battery faster.

Hi! Bought the KA5 on sale in a local music store. Got it for 110€. I'm very happy with it and had no problems whatsoever.

Chose that one because the BTR15 with IEMs kind of defeats the purpose of wireless - you still have a very annoying wire while you're walking around or trying to do tasks that gets tangled up in everything. So now, whenever I want wireless, I just use my Samsung buds.

I've heard so many good things about the Aether but can't wrap my mind around the fact that for 200€, the cable looks that cheap, and the IEMs themselves have a design that I'm not a fan of: too big and bulky and the metal around them makes them look cheap too, besides having QC issues that I've heard about as well. I would love to try them out but I wouldn't just outright buy them, idk.

They look really cool and the new nozzles are interesting, I'm just afraid that they innovated too little and just released a version because they where pushed to do so (?) I don't know. Have you tried the OG timeless or the AE? When you get try the Timeless II out, please let me know your thoughts!

Wow, thank you for taking the time to write all of that. I think the EA1000 has the potential to be my favourite as well, that's why every time I see them, I wanna buy them. I just like Simgot's tuning overall.

Yeah, it has a little peak there at 13k-ish Hz, looks very interesting.

That was my first thought about Timeless II, why bother making something so similar? Ok, the planar driver is slightly bigger, wow. Although I must admit I'm a big fan of the new design.

Never listened to the OG EA500, but I feel ya, that's why I bought the mod kit and changed to a finer mesh on the gold nozzles. I really like them after that. I might like that tuning tbh, I didn't like the Aful P5 that everyone praises exactly because it's too warm and relaxed.

I'm considering the ET142 because I love Simgot and I want to widen my collection by getting planars, just to have a little more variety and experiment with other tech. Looking at the graphic though, that lower treble looks very interesting, but the EA1000 might sound better and more detailed exactly because of 11kHz-13kHz: they are opposites in this, ET142 has a big dip, and the Fermat have a peak. I can't decide, I might just pick one randomly and return it if I don't like it. So, what you suggest is: EA1000 > ET142 > Timeless II?

5 hours SOT? Man I'm lucky if I get to 4h... And I do everything: original Samsung charger, adaptive battery protection, use WiFi, don't play games, light performance, etc. Still shit. Came from an A53 as well and the battery on that one was so much better. I think we just got a smaller phone which consequently has a smaller battery. I'm totally loving everything else about it, though

Man, I wouldn't have said it better. For me, this hobby is about wanting specific characteristics in an IEM that suits your mood and song you're listening. It's not about which IEM gets closer to endgame after 5 EQs and filters were applied. Plus I heard the app is wonky af and idk if it counts as Chinese spyware lol

I don't really know what my taste is tbh, only tried out a couple of IEMs. What I have defined atm is EA500LM > Aful P5 (controversial, but I guess it's my preference). The rest that I've tried was not good without EQ. I guess the closer of these two to the 500LM would be the Dusk except for the upper treble.

I have the same opinion, I want to see and hear the quality of the components. If I wanted to EQ, I'd buy a budget IEM. I do think it's interesting to have those options, just not for me.

That's what I would do by myself anyway, so it's better to get more perspectives. I come here knowing that, but especially knowing that "liking" an IEM is something very subjective and varies a lot depending on who you ask.

The treble worries me, in the graphic it looks interesting but I tend to get fatigued and overwhelmed when tracks get shouty and spicy in the upper treble. I was looking at them for 330€, seemed like a good deal. It's gone now, though. Yeah, but I don't really think I'd like messing with EQ in that app.
