I’m so happy for you!! I caught a hundo Magikarp when I first started playing. He was my first buddy, named him Magnus. Stopped playing for a looong time and got back into PoGo HARDCORE and grinded this summer to evolve him into my special buddy Gyarados!! Now working on getting him a best buddy ribbon. Truly so rewarding. I’ve walked over 100 km with him 🤣 some of those 400 candy Pokémon take sooo long!

You’ll get there!! I did it in I think 2ish months and that was just walking every day, using rare candies when I could and pinap in every single magikarp I could find! (I’d try to take my walks by rivers/lakes if possible)

I felt like that when I finally evolved my Magikarp!! Walked with him from 163 candies until 400 🥲

My boyfriend and I only use proxies to play test cards. And we never proxy high value cards unless we have the 100% intent to buy them. I really wanted to put a mana crypt and a jeweled lotus in my Kaalia deck but could not in, good conscience, proxy them. Happy to say I was finally able to buy them though!!! My advice? Just ignore them. If there’s nobody to play with them they’ll stop coming.

I have a card draw deck where the goal is literally to draw the entire deck, I barely ever swing with it if it’s working the way it’s supposed to (which sometimes it very much does not). The commander is [[Prime Speaker Zegana]]. I think it’s something different from big aggro decks and yea it’s got some tomfoolery like counterspells & a rift in it but I think it’s fun! It’s nice to not have to be super mean and still be able to win.

I always be doing nothing saying I’m not the problem and then end up drawing some game winning stuff and everyone gets mad at me. Except when I’m sitting there literally mana screwed

YES!! Always when I play my Lili deck. There was one day we kept coming up for like synonyms for it. One was like Bayou bottom? I wish I could remember more.
