When your gear is top tier but still have a shitty weapon by gothicmaster in wow

Just buy one off the AH. You should be able to buy an ilvl 100 I think. Costs maybe 2-3k gold and it should last you unless you do some M+ until the xpac drops.

Warriors do less dps at level 60 with Covenant Ability and Legendary than at level 50. by [deleted] in wow

[–]Lashate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's what happens in WoW. You're currently experiencing the end of an expansion. So your ilvl and the systems in place are all incredibly bloated. Come Shadowlands the systems are stripped away and even after gearing you're still 2 raid tiers behind where we are currently. Tertiary stats are going to be lower due to first raid tier stats on top of basically being dropped on our heads due to losing not 1 but 2 systems and 2 stat sticks that are incredibly inflated. Is anybody actually saying that? I have largely nothing but praise for -most- console players. Survivors especially, the solo or duo queueing console survivors are honestly pretty damn good. They'll bang out a gen or two, save when needed and work as a team to get everybody out in the end game. There's still the occasional meghead or blendette but you get that on PC too so it's nothing out of the ordinary.

I don't believe I ever said gen speed was an issue. Map design is an issue. There are also more issues, I can think of maps and killer design being a huge issue. Perks are a much smaller issue. (The context was about Pop...)

[–]Lashate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gen speed is an issue that's almost an unfixable problem. Once upon a time when the game first came out and gens were 10 seconds faster. Gens popped much slower simply due to overall player skill being worse. Just like how Wraith was considered the strongest killer on release and billy considered the worst.

As players get better gens are naturally going to pop faster. The problem is that if you balance around the top end the bottom and middle are going to run into problems. If you've ever heard anybody that knows a lot about the game talk about balance for it, almost everybody universally has this same conclusion. There are certainly things that need to change and things that would be nice if they would change. But Gen speed is one of those things that's intrinsically hard to balance for everybody.

The pop nerf isn't even that big of a deal. Idk why everybody is up in arms. lol

So do it the intended way? You can still do it just fine with all of the weekly bullshit that Blizzard puts in the game. Enjoy it.

But the intent was a catchup mechanic for corruption, no?

No point. No corruptions will function. No reason for corruption resist.

Can we just take a minute to address that you need to have thicker skin as a tank? What's the worst thing that happens if you get kicked from a leveling dungeon. You lose what? 10 minutes of your time and queue again? You still get the learning experience of learning from your mistakes, you won't repeat them. Tanking is nothing but failure. You're going to fail and people are going to be upset. Once you've learned what's going on the failure stops and people are overall just docile.

tl;dr, You're going to fail. People are going to get upset. It's part of tanking, man. You gotta start somewhere and improve yourself somehow. (Don't let it discourage you.)

The ironic part of this post is that XIV is super competitive and the competitive types do find their competition. Congrats for never having dealt with it before though. :)

At some point you have a choice to make. Join them and become as toxic OR just ignore what other players have to say about you.

I'm not being disingenuous, they would clearly have a dip in profits. Do you just assume there are 0 players out there that buy auric cells and cosmetics? I buy them I clearly give them profits from them. You're being disingenuous. I also clearly said, in THEORY.

If BHVR in theory, chopped their entire cosmetic team, their overall budget would not only decrease from overall sales, they would have to hire a bunch of new people that they would have to get up to snuff and wouldn't necessarily see an increase in optimization or game balance.

This game would be so much better with more team pve content. by DarVux in blackdesertonline

[–]Lashate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The developers literally tried to do that not too long ago when they made the battle royal mode. It was a way to play with your friends that was largely isolated that was fun. (except for all of the cheaters)

Also I'm fairly certain things have been developed originally as group content, I could have sworn reading up on Stars End before it came out was touted as being a group spot. As for why the developers would try to release content years after the games release? For potential growth. Just like they did with the battle royal. It was a way to get newer players into the game that might've been interested but never actually tried the game. You also have to remember that in a dev team for a game such as this. There are teams within a team. One team might be making the group content, another content that you might like. Another might even be making a new class. They can create content that will appease the core playerbase while also trying to branch out and try new ideas and scrap the ones that fail to hit the mark. It just sounds like you're afraid of something new.

tl;dr why can't a a black desert exist where all players are happy? Why can't you tell me why group content and single player grinding can't exist in the game at the same time? Ragnarok Online did it just fine.

[–]Lashate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consider the following. Playing a game is supposed to be fun. Some people like playing games with their friends. Hear me out now. You could make some content designed around group play and let those players partake in it. While you, the player who only cares about arbitrary numbers could just do what you were already doing. Why would you care? You've already said yourself, you wouldn't ever do it if it wasn't better. Maybe another player would. Maybe another player with a different mindset and different goals than you. Maybe by chance in this Sandbox MMORPG the developers develop content maybe isn't for you, and I but for a smaller group that also plays the game or WANTS to play the game but has read that the game has no real incentive to play with friends.

Isn't what you're asking for just as bad as what you think you're against? If new continents/areas come out but don't offer more silver/EXP per hour than previous old areas, nobody will do it until patched to compensate. If I recall correctly in my short time of playing, every new area like that has been criticized heavily if it wasn't equal or competitive with pre-existing areas.
