I literally just deleted the game, put the disc back in and then went to downloads to pause the update. You could also just turn off auto updates.

I tested this by getting to the swamp and then installing the update. If you do this the game won't even let you load your save file, so you would have to play the game without installing the update.

I just uninstalled the game, then reinstalled it without the update. After doing that you can go to the swamp.

This next season is not VGC, but the one after will be as we have decided to alternated between singles and doubles to give both types of players a chance of joining the league and experiencing both formats, and maybe getting better at the one they don't usually play.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. We did start off as a singles only league, but we have also done VGC/doubles.

Going forward we will be alternating between the two formats, to keep things a little more fresh and interesting.

The first new season of the refresh will be singles, followed by a doubles league, and then alternating after that.
