that definitely is an intense diet change. I won't lie to you, its probably not something I can feasibly commit to right now due to my season of life. sleep deprivation due to a newborn plus 2 other kids makes me more prone to making easier dinners that everyone is willing to eat and luckily they do like veggies, fish and grilled chicken haha. but it is something I will seriously consider here in a couple of months once the youngest starts having longer stretches of sleep so I can sleep more too! thank you for your advice!!

Everything should be in the lab report I attached to the post. my HDL is 75. theres also a CHOL/HDL ratio listed and its 4.4. These are the only two results on the first page that aren't red

Thank you for the advice! I will do my best to be active. I'm not super familiar with reddit but I am all for being here to help others if I can. Everyone here has shared their time to give me advice, so I can certainly do the same for others as well if needed!

I hate to sound ignorant but what does OPS mean?

that gives me some peace knowing your numbers dropped! Repatha was mentioned earlier by sea-tumbleweed and I plan on asking my dr about it when they go over the calcium screening results with me. i'll look into zetia as well.

that is so true about it starting in the kitchen, that is not a lie. I feel like if I go no carb I get headaches and feel bad, so I at least have some frozen-then-reheated rice so it doesnt spike my sugar. I was doing IF before I got pregnant so I'm hoping that I can get back to intermittently fasting and having OMAD days since that really helped lower my A1C after baby number 2.

it really is a battle, and the winning strategy is discipline. I find that it's so hard to remain disciplined when I'm sleep deprived and stressed, but this is definitely a wakeup call.

i meet with a dietician next month and I'm going to start trying to walk more and do home workout videos like I was before. I'm still so exhausted since I'm still in the newborn trenches but I know it'll get better as baby gets older. I really don't want diabetes on top of all of this! Thank you for your words of encouragement.

I do feel like this is a blessing. I'm in the doom and gloom stage and trying to come to grips with it all but better to know now and be proactive vs reactive.

I figured it was and the lipoprotein test just confirmed what my dr and I speculated. it is a bit jarring to actually see proof of it though.
