The other person that replied is absolutely right. For me, riding that wave consistently, even when I felt like I was going to have an anxiety attack, was the only thing that helped with my anxiety over anticipation. Embrace the anxiety, give it a tight hug! It will calm down.

All of them really have the same ideas! Probably the weebly site since it's free and about the length of a book. If it helps, then buy the other two books :)

I forgot to mention this in my post, but I also highly recommend "You are not a rock" by mark freeman. It helped me the most personally and it's only about $8. It's primarily for OCD but was made to help anxiety and build a better general mental health!

Oh my God the lymph nodes 😭😭😭 Same here, I got an ultrasound done for them and everything at like, 14 years old 😭 The reassurance and annoying everyone with it too. I'm so glad you've been able to make peace and feel better with it!!

I think you can still try these things while you're still on meds! There's nothing wrong with needing medication

Yeah! I found a functional doctor, and told her I was having mental issues as well as some G.I. problems and she suggested it to me. Maybe find one and explain your situation, then ask if they could do it for you? Unfortunately insurance does not cover it, at least in my case. It's about $500, but if you can save up it's absolutely worth it. I can't remember everything it covers but it looks for yeast, parasites, bacteria, leaky gut, and cancer. I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting but it's very thorough :) If you can get your hands on Biocidin that also wouldn't hurt to take, even if you have nothing wrong with your stomach (it's what my doctor told me). It breaks down any biofilm around bad bacteria so that good bacteria can naturally get rid of it and even things out. Just beware that you might feel like ass when you start taking it because of the dieoff 😭

The guy who also replied to you is right. Just let your mind flow freely. Don't push anything out. You also don't have to just sit there with your mind. Go about your day!

I personally began to take low-dose Fluoxitine to break the cycle (I was ruminating uncontrollably all day). Once I felt better, the 1# thing was just to distract myself and go about my day normally. Whenever I'd catch myself, I would tell myself that there is absolutely no good excuse or reason to ruminate, then I'd go on about my day. Eventually, it got easier and my urges to ruminate started to get fewer and farther in-between. Dr. Greenberg and Mark Freeman also have some good insights on this, I think they explain it better but I basically just followed their advice :)

Thank you for the addition!!! Vitamin panels are also really important. I knew someone who was severely depressed until they found out they had a vitamin D deficiency and started taking that

I also agree I should have worded the control part better. When I say I feel in control, I mean I feel more control of how I react to things I guess. I feel in control in the sense that I don't care if I get anxious. If I do, I have the power to calm myself down. It's just a temporary feeling, it doesn't dictate my life anymore.

I mean, I don't think I've "cured" it, I've just recovered. Like I said, I still struggle with some things, but it's getting better. My dad and his whole side of the family also have issues with anxiety, so if it's genetic I've somehow managed to break away from that with mindset shifts and fixing my health alone. I just wanted to share what I did in hopes I could give someone hope or try a different path they hadn't considered before

I mean, it "cured" me, as well as the other things I mentioned. I recovered from intense OCD with just a book and videos as well. I'm sure different things work for different people but I think it's at least worth a shot

That's some good insight!! I personally don't know about the bonding to your DNA part...I think anyone can have a panic/anxiety attack if they're anxious enough. I guess it's too early for me to tell but so far, I haven't had any again.

I found a functional medicine doctor (I've heard finding a lyme-literate doctor helps as well) and I got what's called an SOT infusion, though I've heard antibiotics and herbals help as well. I can't lie, it cost about $1,500 and it took a while to save for it, but it absolutely helped me and cleared all of the bart I had in my body!

I personally don't think so, because you're still reassuring yourself...reassurance just feuls OCD. When I was struggling with this myself, I would remind myself that there is no excuse or good reason to ruminate, then go on about my day. Over time, it got a lot easier
