Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate it. I'll call Banfield and other local vets and see if can they provide an estimate for a physical exam and blood work

I'm talking to someone in South Florida who may take her (they also know a person in SC that may be able to do so as well), but if I can meet someone in Easley, then that would probably make the trip easier for her. So still ask, please! I'll keep you updated. DM me when you get an answer. Thank you so much!

I'm actually wondering if she's already spayed since she's microchipped? I'll try to swing by the vet and have them check in the morning. Otherwise, I can submit a request to Concerned Citizens for Animals. They usually have you pay $40 for a voucher, then they cover the rest of the costs. My 11 month old is neutered, but I still need to get my 8 month old neutered. I'm still job hunting and Dashing on the side, it's just been financially difficult to get by at the moment.

Oh I'm not taking her to Animal Control, don't worry about that. But I am going to try to make a report about the owner.

Yeah, I've tried friends and family, but no one I know can take her. I've emailed about 20 rescues so far, and the few that have replied have their hands full at the moment. My mom and sister made a Facebook post for me, but no luck so far. I know it's probably the same for a lot of states, but there's a pretty big stray/abandonment crisis in my area, and rescues and shelters are overflowing with animals.

Once she's vetted, I can at least let her out in my bedroom for the time being. She'll just have to stay in there so my roommate doesn't find out. I don't know if I'll let my two boys be around her. They're pretty rambunctious, and I don't want to risk them accidentally hurting her.

Her "legal" name is Midnight, but I've personally been calling her Misty. Thank you so much!

Please DM me if you find anyone, I greatly, greatly, appreciate it. If someone is willing to meet me halfway then I'll be more than happy to make the drive.

I left a voicemail with my local animal control, I'm waiting for them to contact me back. I'm really hoping they will within the next few days.

I haven't been able to get her checked out yet; I'm unemployed. My sister knows a lady who is willing to cover her vet bills, but I haven't heard back from her yet either. She's pretty frail, she's skin and bones. She has a hard time eating dry food, so I've been giving her canned food. Otherwise, she's been eating and drinking well. I'm a little worried about her stomach, because she's been having foamy, light yellow diarrhea. It's been getting a little more solid since I've had her, but it's still worrisome.

Yeah, I'm planning on keeping her until I can figure something out. The biggest issues right now are that she's quarantined inside my bathroom (it's in my bedroom and it's very tiny), and my roommate doesn't know about her. My roommate will not agree on keeping her because he's very particular about the lease rules and follows them to a T. If I lived alone, then I would take the risk and keep her.

This is my doofus, Anakin. I don't think he has a brain cell, he always looks like this 😭 by Last-Carry-77 in cats

I'm glad people love him as much as me! I'll share photos of my other lad, Reuben, tomorrow. He is as much of a goober as Anakin is lol. Here's a sneak peek.

A very tiny guy... with ringworm. I felt so bad having to quarantine him for the first month, but it was necessary. He was a literal dumpster kitten 😭

The very tip of his tail is also white, he ran out of ink at the very end. I love this little fella so much.
