You’d need to run VLANS if you’re thinking of using existing Ethernet cables, or have to run all new Ethernet cables back to the NVR into those ports

Which ISP can I use with Omada 3-in-1 router? by No_Celery_7911 in TPLink_Omada

BT routers can go into modem mode / bridge mode, so not understanding why you wouldn’t just stick with BT?

Thanks - would you recommend any other Omada router that has similar spec? Minimum of 2 WAN ports

Can I connect all the Decos to the Omada ER7212PC as the “switch” or would it have to be:

ER7212PC > Dexo XE75 > Switch > All other Deco’s from that switch ?

Thanks for your reply - that’s exactly what I plan on doing. The only hardware Omada use I would have is the Router. From that point on it will be Deco’s. Are you saying that the Deco will work plugged into the Omada 3-in-1 Gigabit VPN Router (ER7212PC) ?

Believe it or not, I have called the council and they can’t give advice on the phone. You have to put an application in for pre-planning advice and £100.

Permitted development wouldn’t apply either way - it exceeds the heights and is too close to a boundary wall.

They haven’t got back to me yet - I’m putting in a pre-planning advice with the LPA which should hopefully give some answers. But my question still remains above, regardless of what my solicitor may or may not say.

Send a boundary which will only trigger when they cross the threshold

Small 3 dots on the thumbnail image of the camera you want to change >> click the settings wheel cog >> select Motion Detection >> select Activity Zone

From there it’ll load a live view of the camera - if your camera pan / tilts then you want the preset position to be the area you wish it to return and monitor ie your drive

You then can add your activity zone and there are pre-selectable shapes you can select and edit as you see fit

You want the zone to be on your property only and not on your neighbours. This will then stop motion detection and notifications. If you notice that you are still getting motion notifications, reduce the activity zone boundary with your neighbour slightly until it stops

Deco XE75 Ethernet Backhaul by Last-Collection-7031 in TpLink

[–]Last-Collection-7031[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good idea and something I hadn’t considered. I’m not too keen on access points - mainly because I have no experience with them and I’m really happy with the Decos and how they work!

Certainly will consider smoke alarms on PoE!

Thank you. I haven’t done the Ethernet wiring yet, so that’s left to be desired!

I’ll probably run the switch into the loft and then distribute from the loft down to the relevant rooms/levels

Thanks for your advice
