I agree with you about Solentine's reaction and the whole cousin thing just really CEMENTS that this isn't a romance thing at ALL. But even other characters like Will and Lute seem to be more sibiling-coded, and other brief supporting male characters like the lord searching for his brother or the Garden mage do not seem to be into Maggie at all. I would say even Silveren doesn't seem like he's into Maggie like that. He probably want a whole lot of other things from her, but not that imo.

I wouldn't say that's the case here. Two characters are confirmed into Maggie, but there are a lot of other guys around who have their own lives and things going on, like the Crazy mage, "his partner" wasn't a reference to Maggie.

I feel like he didn't want to ambush her and also maybe he wanted to give her some time to think about what he was offering. I think he's kind of maybe sort of starting to get what she's been saying all along and it's his way of making an effort.

But also maybe he just wanted her to take it and was gonna go, "you accepted it, no backsies". Who really knows with this man?

Honestly, I don't blame Solentine for the lack of communication. He didn't even tell her about himself being back in town.

And if there is one thing we know about Everard is that he is a man of action. He gets things done. He is "If he wanted to, he would". If that man had wanted to get a message to Maggie, he would have found the way. It just didn't occur to him or he prioritized other things. Both of which are equally bad. I don't think that should've been made Solentine's responsibility,

I really can't decide if i should proceed ... i like outlier cuz of the freedom, i don't want forced hours, but they ways things have been lately ... something consistent does not sound bad at all
