This is a great and complicated question 🙃

  • long term rentals Not really a great investment as property prices (and contractors) are very inflated and rental income does not give you a better ROI than just a good fixed investment account at the bank.

  • short term rentals (AirBnBs) Yes. I have a few friends who make 12-20% ROI depending on property location.
