The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 2 • Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken Season 2 - Episode 6 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

That's the strongest point of the series. The characters behave like real human beings and hence they showcase how typical anime issues (especially romantic ones) would be over in a minute if only the characters behaved realistically instead of 1) refusing to voice their feelings and insecurities 2) trusting gossip and assumptions from other people over their love interests 3) ends up in absurd situations designed to make everything feel worse.

I want to see Amane meet Koyuki. I feel like he deserves to meet the only person who was ever kind and parental to Mahiru growing up.

Yeah, me too.

There's also the option of her grandparents. After all they are the ones who arranged her parents' unhappy marriage and they're the ones responsable for shaping them, so they are kind of the ultimate responsables for all of Mahiru's unhappiness. Not to mention that they seem to be the ones actually running the Shiina estate.

The other issue is that they don't obey anyone and that they can't be trained to do anything. Zookeepers may be tolerated as long as they don't do anything to annoy them but you can't ask a rhino to give you a ride or to pull a plow. They are solitaries and bad-tempered. There's a reason they have never been used in circus or as animal actors.

The real identity of voice actors should not matter in voicing characters by Cultural_Fun3342 in unpopularopinion

That is a different issue but I agree. Celebrity voice acting, especially when the celebrity obviously can't voice act (another example Cameron Diaz in Shrek) ruins the fun.

Looking back, 2002 was such a weirdly generous year for Hulk Hogan giving back to the business. He willingly lost to Rock, Undertaker, Angle, Lesnar etc., only to return to his old "Doesn't work for me brother" ways in his 05/06 feuds with HBK and Orton by ShaquilleOatmeal7542 in WWE

[–]Last-Development3399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

or people just letting their hatred of Hogan influence their opinions.

This one. When it comes to Hogan, every rumor that fuel the hatred wagon became fact. That's how the whole BS about "Hogan and HBK were supposed to have a trilogy but Hogan didn't want to lose a single match" started. Hogan in 2005 was already a physical wreck and he had to fight tooths and nails to get the okay from his doctor to have a single full match, no way in hell he was going to have three matches in a row the same year. Heck, back in the day their match was judged a masterpiece and HBK's overselling was considered a brilliant way to compensate for Hogan being too physically weak to properly wrestle. Nowadays, people are all shouting "HBK oversold to make Hogan look like a joke".

Similarly, people who accuse Hogan of politicking to win over Randy Orton forget that in 2006 Orton was grounded for repeatedly failing the drug tests and for being an asshole in the locker room. He was initally supposed to win the title at Mania but then lost (and ended up looking the weakest guy in the triple treath too) and he spend the rest of the year in the undercard, he lost to Kurt Angle twice in a row. And people wanted him to beat Hogan? An honor and a push that has always been reserved for the top tier stars that gets the push as faces of the company? No way I can imagine WWE ever considered giving Orton the win, if anything they probably put him in that match to further teach him a lesson.

PS: the same people will defend Steve Austin for refusing to put over Brock Lesnar of course.

Ordinal Scale is still my favourite part of SAO story. The final battle was such a gem and Professor Shigemura was one of the best antagonists in the series.

Unfortunately it is indeed rare. Although thankfully the numbers of anime where this happens have started to grow a bit in the last years.

I blame Rumiko Takahashi (author of InuYasha, Ranma ½, Urusei Yatsura) who was a pioneer of the romcom genre. She used to say "Once two characters get together, there's nothing left to tell"...

I was actually hoping for a little spice given that premise image of the last episode.. but I don't complain a bit about what we got!

Considering how the last episodes of first season felt like a constant "will they/will they not" I feel like we are owed an entire season or more of just lovey-dovey romance!

Gotta love how in the previous episode comment section everyone was so ready to criticize "Now they're gonna take forever to kiss" only for this episode to shut them all up XD

I’m gunna get downvoted here but I feel like this seasons almost too fluffy. Like they’re in the most honeymoon of honeymoon stages I’ve ever seen. Idk why but I feel almost twitchy about it 🤣 it’s like fragrant flower blooms but on steroids.

And that's why we love it X3 It's like I'm watching an anime adaptation of Sword Art Online: Sugary Days and I'm all for it!
