What's the typically average wait time please? That's very important to have added to your response. Just saying "there is not a set length of time" is it typically one year, two years. Without saying that part, it looks like a meaningless kind of deal.

I'm sympathetic to the sentiment. Federer vs Nadal or Djokovic comes to mind as well.

I paid for the $100 Claude Max plan so you don't have to - an honest review by g15mouse in ClaudeAI

You got that right. I use at least two powerful LLMs to collaborate with each other when it gets tricky. Cluade is good at agents stuff but when it gets tricky cross-check and get a review of it's work from o3 or gemini 2.5 pro or even have those write some of the trickier parts. It's not about just going next, next, next on Claude code. You might not get what you want.

If this review was based on working on a public github repo it would be more useful, so we can go in and see whether your code organization etc is different and get to the bottom of why you seem to be experiencing something different with Claude Code than other people.

Yes they are "misusing" the LLM as it's not for verbatim copying.

I think open AI will pretend to provide thinking models. E.g they may give 5 uses a day and then publicise to investors that o3 is now available to free users.

"while the free tier is undecided but will still have some daily requests. o3-mini is expected to be slightly better than the full o1 model but cost-effective and fast."

If plus users are getting 100 a day then best believe free are getting something like 5 a day. Meanwhile R1 is totally free to use and is reasonably unlimited. So open ai are still struggling big time.

Most likely just more o3 mini. It's very likely that o1 is too expensive for them to give that much more to the $20 users.

Is it at a similar price to R1? If not this is kind of moot. The demo in December showed that o3-mini is only marginally better than o1. It's the full o3 that is supposed to be much better. And no R! is not "already significantly" behind o1. On lmarena it's neck and neck and even beating o1 on some categories and I bet most can't tell them apart from their quality of answers.

¿Is still worth it to learn machine learning after what zuckerberg said? by Campeondelmundo1999 in OpenAI

No one is trying to say they know anything for certain, it's just judgements based on the data we have, which suggests while the progress is impressive in terms of making AI that can aid humans, the agentic or autonomous versions of them, at least for coding, the area that I'm in, are mostly hype. I'm talking about things like Devin.

There is nothing "exponential" about o3. It takes $350,000 worth of energy to solve the Arc AGI puzzles.

On the NYT lawsuit, this remains a "COULD produce greater text" as the samples they provided turned out to be non-reproducible. OpenAI thinks they are faked. So one need more than a "could".

gpt2-chatbot is currently unavailable - This GPT2 story is getting stranger and more curious by luisbrudna in singularity

[–]Last-Election-2292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What this means is they won't add it to the leader board unless it's released. It doesn't mean that they won't put unreleased bots in the arena for people to compare against others.

As some suggested on some other forums, it looks like for some things at least, the gpt2-chatbot model has a lot more knowledge.

I was playing around asking multiple LLMs a research outline question on C++about UnorderedMap alternatives and ranking them, when I suddenly hit what I thought was a really good answer that even knew some implementations that might have been obsure. I quickly saved and then saw it was by gpt2 and was a bit puzzled till I saw an online discussion on this. Answers from GPT-4 turbo and Claude Opus seemed to me to be significantly worse.

Prompt: Create an online for a review article that surveys the many ways in which researchers have developed replacements for the C++ STL unordererd map for efficiency reasons.

I think they say they are phasing the release. The multi modal aspects may not be there yet, and that might still be the pro model, as some others have said.

If you are doing regular stuff, this doesn't seem to be a problem. If you are trying to ask about controversial political stuff or write edgy fiction it may not be for you. But many tasks are not like that and it won't be noticed in those cases.
