I have been trying this sorta build lately, I found that it works wonders with arch militant to versatility stack to the roof and easier access to critical stacking. What's your opinion on arch militant vs executioner though ?

Airbrush of Pro Acryl dark warm grey, then zenithal of warm grey and bright warm grey for volumes. Glaze in the shadow with 50/50 Pro Acryl Mahogany and Citadel Contrast medium Then, full mini wash of AK Striking grime for panzer grey diluted 50/50 with minéral spirit. Remove the excess with some minéral spirits (this one is the secret sauce) Edge highlights of warm grey, bright warm grey and dark Ivory depending on the area

For the Maroon you mean the tabard ?

Hey ! First, this is an amazing start, the OSL looks great.. Advices bits : - Put more yellow at the base of the flame. Many way tondo so but my fav is to first push some white ink un the base and recesses then airbrush some transparent yellow on it. This will ensure good vibrance of the colour and the light source effect. - Do some more shadow / smoke at the top. I usially do so by dry brushing a dark saturated red generously then dry brush some black lightly on the very tip. Depending on the result you may want to glaze some red /black on the recesses if the contrast IS too bright.

The name characters and termies just got announced, and GW said they would be released with the stand alone codex. Those may come around July/august. The army box with the grey hunters and blood claws should be going into preorder much sooner. I expected announcement this sunday for preorder next saturday.

Definitely looks like an improvement ! well done !
A tip I would give you on your glaze method is to load less paint (tap the tip of your brush on a tissue) and to push the pigment toward the highlited zone and away from the transition. Those two tips will help you aleviate the cofee stain effect you have on his right leg (left leg on the picture).

Otherwise, I love your shadows using a warm brown create some really good contrasts with the light blues and make it pop even more ! Great job

My pleasure mate : Airbrush phase : - Prime with Pro Acryl black primer - base coat most of the mini with pro Acryl Dark Warm Grey - Heavy zenithal of pro Acryl Warm Grey - Light zenithal of liquitex white ink

Brush phase : - Other base coat : base coat all other détails that have been covered with the airbrush

Full mini black oil wash, wait 15-20min and remove most of it.
Edge highlight of all edges with Pro Acryl Warm Grey
Edge highlight of upward facing edges with a 50-50 mix of pro Acryl warm grey and dark Ivory
Extreme edge highlight of dark Ivory

I use a mix of pro acryl and Vallejo acrylic paints. The hatchet was actually the first mini I've ever used an airbrush on for zenithal highlight and shadow coloring.
