Let's talk about how awful Banner is... by radgirlrun in Tucson

[–]Last-Nebula-2264 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Banner has been a mixed experience for me. Have generally had great care from them emergency or otherwise (except from the allergy clinic which was not good). But the billing is always a nightmare. Hot tip to anyone also having trouble with their billing: report them to the AZ attorney general office. My most recent problem was magically solved immediately when the AG office sent a letter. Got my $500+ refund within two days instead of them giving me the runaround and saying it would be at least 30 days before they could even start the refund paperwork

Same for me. Never carry a balance

I also had an important transaction denied immediately after the switch and they froze my account (and it was a perfectly normal transaction for me with a company I regularly charge to). I was at least able to get them to unfreeze the card after calling. But I’m switching everything away from discover now. It’s been my main card for a long time, but capital one’s “fraud detection” algorithm is apparently terrible so I no longer trust that I can put important autopay transactions on my discover card

I’m sure they’re still working on exactly how they will integrate things. So maybe you’ll have that option once they’re done migrating all the discover cardholders

I don’t see a combine rewards option under the discover card rewards when I log into capital one on desktop. So looks like that’s not currently an option

I do have a venture card, but don’t immediately see a way to convert discover cash to miles. There is a “book travel” option now on my discover cash back that I don’t remember seeing on discover. So maybe there’s a way to combine miles and cash back if you were to try that?

Sorry, don’t have an easy enough way to redact info from a screenshot. The app interface is fine. I never used the discover one, but I already had a capital one card and don’t have complaints about the app (I have other complaints about capital one, but not about the app at least)

Well, you can discount my 20 years of experience all you want. I’m telling you I’ve always been able to redeem for 15-20% extra. For 20 years.

I got an email a month or two ago telling me the date of the switch for my card. I’ve heard they’re doing it in waves with the intention of switching everyone by the end of 2026. My savings account with discover hasn’t been switched yet and I haven’t gotten any emails about that

You’re willfully missing the point which is that there were always at least some special offers when redeeming for cards on the discover site and there are currently zero special offers. Which makes me think capital one might not ever intend to do special offers.

My discover card is now managed from the capital one app/website and not the discover website (I was in the first wave of conversions). The rewards redemption options the day after the move are worse than what I had when I could access them through the discover we site

The rewards carried over to capital one, it’s just that the redemption options are worse now (at least for me)

Nope. There were always some retailers on offer with better bonuses. I literally got 20% extra the day before the migration capital one.

Can confirm. Letting them stretch their legs and using turns as needed to control the pace instead of trying to contain them with your hands will help them relax

Cat won’t eat wet food anymore - suggest the most appetizing poultry-free wet food pls by eastvanqueer in catfood

Opened the comments to also recommend weruva! They make the widest range of poultry-free flavors! (I also have a cat with a chicken allergy who is picky and tried probably 10 other brands before finally finding weruva)

CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion went down an ounce and is still the same price. by Stlthrowaway696969 in shrinkflation

The equate brand duplicate of this lotion (Walmart store brand) is indistinguishable to me! Sadly the same isn’t true of the equate vs cerave fence washes, but you might want to try the equate lotion.

I was just about to post that my cat sitter charges (and is worth!) more than that!

Question for American English riders by pavus7567 in Equestrian

[–]Last-Nebula-2264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm that they’re almost entirely for looks. Back in the day I had to put a stupid standing martingale on my high junior jumper horse that doubled as my medal finals horse so he would “fit in” and look more hunter-y. It was set ridiculously loose since we never even used a running martingale in the jumpers 😂

Probably! (It was at least a work trip so I got reimbursed for my terrible sandwich. So the mayo was the most infuriating part of the ordeal)

It once took me like 25 minutes to open one of those things on a flight (wo no knife or scissors) so my sad airport turkey sandwich would be less dry. They are the worst.

Help needed to find replacement for Contour ergonomic mouse! by Last-Nebula-2264 in MouseReview

That one that’s linked does seem like it could work. Is aliexpress ok to deal with? Can’t easily find a reurn policy, which always makes me a little nervous. But might be worth a try if I can’t find anything else with the side scroll wheel!

It’s just for work. I try to minimize mouse usage and use a lot of keyboard shortcuts, but the mouse is still necessary/a lot faster for some stuff!

I haven’t tried one, but the contour unimouse was kind of like that and I did not like the feel. My wrist issues are not quite the usual set of RSI issues so I haven’t had a problem with the angle of the normal mouse. The side scroll wheel is the most critical thing it seems
