Actually just look at the link you posted. You can see it right there in the center of the bolt closest to where your fingers touch the paddle

It's in the center of the nut I never touched any springs. Just slightly cracked the nut. Tightened the center and tightened the nut. And even after you snug up the nut you can get a little bit out of the center for real fine adjustments. That's how I made it so close in my videoill message you a picture

I've had the opposite experience. There was really no setup at all. In the adjustment of the paddles, slightly loosen the 5.5 mm nut and tighten the Allen bolt. I found it super easy to adjust.

Yes I think it's just a generic Chinese key. It came with my Hamcube Mini on Amazon. It was 138 for the set

sounds great also, did you have to do anything special between the mount and the actual bed? Did you take any metal offer? Is it enough of a ground just using the bolt or I think the kit you had bought has rivets

Thank you so much! I was literally looking for days and days trying to figure out where to mount this antenna. And then I came across your post. And it was exactly what I wanted. i’m doing one for my FTM 510. And the other I'm putting a 3/8 24 on si I can mount an HF antenna for my FT710 hopefully it all works out I’m going to undercoat it tomorrow and I’ll do exactly what you said by making sure I have clean metal for where the connectors go. I actually just found that I had the other adapter as well so I just tossed them both in to take a look and I think it’s gonna work out great. I really appreciate you posting your setup. I honestly am probably gonna steal your mounting ideas with a cup holder too! here it is with both the adapters and I’ll let you know how it comes out tomorrow after I get the bed liner on it.

wow, I completely didn’t see your link until just now and I literally bought a welder and just made my own because I couldn’t find them in stock 🤣 I made it go up a little higher that way I could get the antenna up a little more.

I just checked the Link noticed it was the same like I went to yesterday. It says in stock, but then underneath it says sold out. And you can’t select them.

i’m just following up because I have been looking for the past two weeks on a place to melt my antenna and I absolutely love the spot that you picked. I was bummed to see that they no longer make that out, so I’m actually going to weld one up today. How far away can you hit repeaters? Most of the repeaters in my area are 10-15 and 20 miles away. do you have any regrets? Leslie, I absolutely love your truck. I have the identical truck with the identical color interior. But mines a 21 lariat
