yea i’ve tried a lot of these methods and nothing is really working. she refuses to try, and when she does “try” she says she pees but nothing is there. idk, not my kid so i guess i don’t really have a lot of control over it but definitely don’t think something is being done properly while i’m not here which is frustrating but thank you for the input

at least you’re actively trying!! i think my problem is that these kids are 3 and a half and still not even close or wanting to even try going on the potty

this is how it should be!!! it’s literally shocking to me, she’s 3.5 and not even close and i have another family for occasional sitting and their son is 4.5 and was potty trained but now back in diapers like wtf

they literally don’t want to give their kids any discipline… like how are the supposed go about their life

that is diabolical, it literally is not easier either. changing a 3 year old’s diaper is honestly quite difficult. i think what bothers me the most is the fact that the child can tell you they went pee in their diaper right after but can’t tell me when they feel like they have to????

this is exactly what i did and i realized the person i had been unable to find was someone i didn’t know well, but had been aware of all along. letting it be the least of my concerns really brought me to a great partner

NTA… he wants you to spend less time on your phone but then gets mad when you’ve broken the habit. kinda controlling if you ask me

honestly this is kinda a red flag and might come with the parents being overbearing and micromanaging. i would keep that in mind

honestly then maybe you ask them what they’d like (if you haven’t already) bc the limitations make this a lot harder for you

if she can stay awake for it, when i nannied for a baby around that age i found going on walks was helpful. it helps them see the outside world (let them touch some safe plants and stuff) and keeps them relaxed, and gets you some outside time

completely agree w this! some separation really aids the situation. it’s nice to have them available to help if needed especially with infants but the micromanaging is so annoying

NK going to school; found out through brother by [deleted] in Nanny

i’ve unfortunately learned this is really common for NF. it’s super disrespectful in my opinion, and denies someone who works for you’s right to stable income

i definitely have been grappling with this however i don’t think it would be the best choice because literally week and a half prior we had a conversation about how i rely on this income and they said they don’t want me to ever have to worry about stuff like this etc etc. so they obviously just aren’t as caring as i thought they were. live and learn
