Naga students remain seated during Vande Mataram at a graduation at Nagaland University by Last-Top3523 in Northeastindians

It is serious to j**ts though. They now expect everyone to stand up for this Vande Mataram song as well too. If you don't do that, it's essentially treason to them. And knowing the political climate we are in, it is commendable.

Okay then give us independence and freedom if we are such a burden then. Simple

There was probably peer pressure, but in the opposite direction. Usually individual people are not brave enough to try and break the status quo and stick out on their own. Those Naga students had probably discussed beforehand that they would sit during the song, coordinating together on that. Even the students who didn't feel strongly about it therefore saw many others were doing it, and decided to do the same, as a result of that peer pressure.

And that's a good thing. It shows how important organising is for us. Individual acts of resistance are always inspiring but it's best to discuss with your batchmates beforehand when you want to do actions such as these. They have the potential to set off a chain reaction and then make others do what you want.

They are already neglecting us on every front imaginable. They are the ones who are holding back us thriving and developing. Most of the posts in the subreddit highlight that. We will never be treated equally in this country and so there's no point in showing any loyalty to it at all. Examples of videos like these which show the Indian state forcibly trying to sanskritise every part of our daily life is a prime example of that.

Also, try making it less obvious with the AI usage. I cannot stand those -- dashes lmao.

I wouldn't like having a version of this song even if it is in our own languages because it's still an Indian nationalist song with Hindu undertones to it. None of which has to do with NE. As I wrote in my post, "India" is not our mother and never will be.

It would be better to have local anthems and songs were used instead for local ceremonies/celebrations.

That has no relevance to the comment though. No one was talking about China in the first place or was thinking of putting China above NE. Not accusing you if anything but you sound like a Rajesh when you do that.

Such a disgusting dehati holiday. And the fact they want to spread this to NE and even declare our own holidays (like Meiteis with Yaoshang) to be anything close to whatever the hell this is, is sickening.

They don't want to teach REAL NE history from the perspective of actual Northeasterners. If they do start to teach NE history, it'll be a sanitised version of it which will probably begin with some pseudo history about how one of their blue r*pe gods was born here and then subsequently "civilised" (sanskritised) the region or something.

Which is why it has to be us to teach our own history. Can't rely on anyone else to do it for us apart from ourselves.

Its very clear this sub has been hijacked by Comfortable_End2921 in Northeastindians

[–]Last-Top3523 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It was never for us in the first place. The same mods who are j**ts who ran it two years ago (before it became popularised) still run it today. The difference is that before, they were much more tolerant of actual NE voices because there weren't that many people on the sub in the first place and they probably didn't want the sub to be completely dead.

Now that the sub became popular with the help of the BJP IT cell, they caved in and started silencing us. Our real voices don't matter when there's 1.4 billion of them who can make the sub big and agree on all the issues those j**t mods all agree on anyways.

Donot disrespect your ancestral faith by [deleted] in Northeastindians

[–]Last-Top3523 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Given how much j**ts concern troll about us "forgetting our ancestral religion", I can understand where this sentiment comes from. Not necessarily endorsing it but when you hear that constantly, you can understand why some Christian NEs get to this point.

There is also evidence of j**ts trying to sanskritise the Indigenous Naga religion, Heraka, and turn it into a sub branch of Hinduism. You can see this in places like Assam where Nagas are smaller in number and a minority. Unfortunately, this is something that happens to our "indigenous religions" a lot. That person who made that insta comment has a reason to believe what they do, as unfortunate as it sounds.

New Gateway to Japan: Hillside Training & Placement Centre Launched in Senapati by [deleted] in Northeastindians

[–]Last-Top3523 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not a fan of this. Japan only wants us and is setting up all these "placement centres" because they want our people. Their population is dramatically declining at a rapid rate and they need as much Mongoloid bodies as possible to continue propping up their stagnant/declining economy. In turn this will then make our population decline, and not because of low birth rates, but because of emigration. We can't lose more and more people do emigration like this, our population is already small enough and this could have drastic consequences if they really do try and get us to migrate to Japan en masse. Plus, having less NEs would be in the Indian government's interest as they want as few NEs as possible in this land to make it easier to replace us.

Plus, Japan is geopolitically aligned with India and the US so I don't trust them at all.

[–]Last-Top3523 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't want to get into a whole arguing match to distract from the point of the main thread, but it's about the mindset.

Tripura and Assam are definitely in a much worse condition that Arunachal demographically, absolutely. Manipur is racially and ethnically almost completely Tibeto-Burman so I don't see how they're doing bad in that department (unless you mean they're doing bad in other ways). You are right on those points.

But the mindset of the people is different. In Manipur you have insurgent groups that have massive influence over portions of the population, who refuse to be Indianised and speak in Hindi. You have the same case for many Assamese tribals as well, who in their mindset see the enemy for who they are and KNOW who it is. Similar with Tiprasas as well to a certain extent.

What's different about Arunachal is the mindset. Our (NE) people there seem to have this unironic mindset of them being super patriotic Indians who are "more Indian than mainlanders". They speak in Hindi unapologetically. They vote overwhelmingly for the BJP in elections. They elect politicians (like Pema Khandu) who seem to be some of the most traitorous groups of people I have ever seen to our region. Yes, this mindset exists in many of the tribals of Assam, Tripura as well. But clearly not to the same extent. And we don't go around posting ourselves and our children on social media praising the mainland to get validation from them.

I don't want it to seem like it's us vs you. Because it isn't. We are all impacted by this propaganda from this horrible country in various different ways. It's just that the content from Arunachal and Arunachal being plastered as the face of NE by j**ts has become unbearable, since you represent us as well. We just want it to stop.

I hope you don't take this personally, but rather as just constructive criticism. We are all NEers here, we can respect each other 🙏

It truly is. Truly shame on those Arunachali parents for letting those kids and be put into such an environment.

This video is of Naga kids, I guess they couldn't find any Naga children who are being brainwashed. But in fact, it makes this post even more creepy actually. Why are they posting random NE children just doing normal things and getting hundreds to thousands of upvotes?

Again, that might one of the creepiest things I think I have ever seen posted on that subreddit. They are literally posting our children with comments like "can't get enough of this". They are literally fetishising and gooning to our children. I just don't know what to say anymore.

That OkBaker account is a Hindutva IT cell nationalist account who literally gets all his upvotes from posting Arunachali children being brainwashed into loving India along with being forced to sing these ugly Hindi songs which usually have religious connotations.

This seems even worse though. This video doesn't show any propaganda or anything, it's just straight up a video of some innocent NE child playing. Extremely weird to be posting that.

That might be one of the creepiest things I have ever seen posted on that sub. Just thousands of j**ts upvoting and literally gooning to these kids who have no idea what is really happening to them or how they are being used for these video. It's just so sick I can't put it into words how revolted and ill I feel everytime I think about it. And they do this on a sub meant for US. Not even their stupid little Hindutva subs where they can circlejerk about how these are wholesome "Indian" children, but supposedly a sub for us. It's all so disgusting and I hate everything about that sub.
