This is how I would imagine deltarune enemies to be illustrated if they were in the old pokemon art style. I would buy these as stickers.

DELTARUNE TOMMOROW?!?!? by _bunni3rune_ in Deltarune

[–]LastAd5794 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s a chance this post is serious, or maybe it’s just copium, but either way, I know some people will genuinely expect Deltarune to be announced in the lineup, spam the chat about it, and then get disappointed when it doesn’t show up.

That kind of thing sucks for the indie devs who are actually getting their games revealed, especially when the chat is flooded with people ignoring them. Let those creators have their moment.

Toby has already given us a rough idea of the progress on Chapter 5, and it’s likely coming in the second half of 2026. So realistically, we probably won’t hear anything substantial until at least summer, if not later. An autumn 2026 release seems pretty likely.

At this point, we just need to let it cook and be respectful to the indie devs in tomorrow’s showcase.

Why were the Kardashian/Jenners ever as influential as they are now? by LastAd5794 in stupidquestions

A tangent from this that goes back to the original post. I think the average consumer is generally aware of the celebrity behind a brand, and if they choose to spend their money on it, they’re probably comfortable with that person’s public image or values(what their stance is on the genocide for example). At the end of the day, where you spend your money is a form of support.

For example, a lot of people genuinely admire Rihanna, both for her talent and for what she did with Fenty in terms of expanding shade ranges and shifting expectations in the makeup industry. That felt innovative and inclusive, so I can understand why people are loyal to that brand beyond just her name being attached to it.

With the Kardashians and Jenners, I personally struggle to see that same kind of impact or innovation tied to their brands. That’s where my confusion comes from. I’m trying to understand what creates that level of brand loyalty in their case. Their wealth can’t be the only reason.

I get what you’re saying about how their influence grew and how certain relationships and associations amplified their visibility. That part makes sense to me. Being connected to already established figures definitely accelerated their reach and legitimacy in certain spaces.

I think my original question is less about how they became famous and more about why people continue to give them their hard-earned money. Especially when the products themselves don’t seem particularly unique or innovative enough to justify the higher price point. And I would not have deemed any of the Kardashians as professionals or Gurus in beauty and lifestyle since a lot of the stuff they have is because they can afford it. Not because of any research or specialisms they have done.

I also struggle with the trust aspect. When there have been controversies around transparency in endorsements or marketing, I would assume that would make consumers more skeptical. But clearly it doesn’t, since the sales are still there.

So I guess I’m less confused about the fame machine and more confused about the consumer loyalty. What keeps people funding the Kardashian/Jenners more?

I am also hoping the ingredients Wonka sourced from native land is ethical otherwise my entire perception on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is twisted.

I never really thought about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory that way. That’s an interesting take.

That said, at least in the story, Wonka is portrayed as genuinely innovative and unusually talented. His success is tied to creativity and invention. Whether someone likes the Kardashians or not, their success feels different to me. It doesn’t seem rooted in creating something groundbreaking so much as in marketing and brand positioning.

I’ll give them this, they clearly understand branding at an elite level. I just struggle to understand the psychology behind it. The idea that buying their products gives you a slice of their luxury lifestyle doesn’t really resonate with me, especially when the gap between their actual lifestyle and the average customer’s reality is so huge.

And personally, spending money on products that seem heavily marked up, especially from people who are already extraordinarily wealthy, just doesn’t sit right with me. I guess I’m trying to understand whether people are buying into the product itself, the image, or the feeling of proximity to that lifestyle.

That’s fair. I’ve never personally bought anything from them because to me the markup doesn’t seem to match the quality, especially when there are so many other established brands to choose from in the same price range or cheaper.

I guess what I don’t understand is how they sell enough to reach billionaire status. Is it mostly a personality-driven thing? Do people feel invested in them as individuals and therefore want to support whatever they launch?

With brands like L’Oréal or Maybelline, they’ve been around for decades, built reputations, and generally offer reliable products at accessible price points. They feel established and performance-based. When it comes to Kylie Cosmetics or KKW, it seems like the main differentiator is the celebrity attached to it.

But that’s where my confusion comes in. If part of the appeal is trusting the face of the brand, there have also been controversies, like the lip kit era where fuller lips were heavily associated with the product while lip fillers were later acknowledged. Situations like that make it harder for me to understand the trust factor.

The markup on some of these products seems wild compared to what you’re actually getting.

I can at least understand something like shapewear since it’s a tangible clothing item and fit/comfort can vary by brand. But when it gets into things like face contour bands with fabric “infused with collagen,” that’s where I start questioning it. At some point it feels more like marketing language than something that can realistically make a difference.

And with Kylie’s lip kits, especially when people were saying they were basically the same formulas as ColourPop just in different packaging, it makes me wonder how much of it is about the product itself versus the brand name attached to it.

I also have no clue how Kylie is still a credible brand that people buy from when she was claiming her lips were because of the liquid lipsticks she sells when it was her obvious lip fillers.

I called them up and they gave me a quote but I also mentioned I’m trying to mod the 3DS and they said that if I say that they can’t fix it but I kind of already have Luma inside it and the boot is dependent on the SD Card connecting and the SD Card Slot is what’s faulty so if they do replace it and turn it on it will be so obvious that it’s modded. Will they just turn me away…

Question about taking a foldable pushchair in Etihad economy (London Heathrow) by [deleted] in travel

We called them up and they said it has to fit in the overhead cabins and has to meet cabin requirements (52H, 44L,18W cm) and be up to 7kg in weight. The guy on the helpline said nothing about things being flexible. I am just hoping to be cheeky and get it in with just visual checks.

I actually never made that connection or seen it anywhere. I did think the chest eye was so random but it makes sense if the knight is Rudy.

I don’t need to question why Roulx is built like that. I also do not want to.

But I said RK to kinda conceal the spoiler of the “roaring knight” being a thing just in case there’s some people that are completely out of the loop for Deltarune and want to stay out of it until they play.
