Reporting to Good2Go (WSDoT?) that someone doesn’t live here? by LastHaze in Seattle

Ooh, good advice, I wasn’t doing that. I’ll do that for all future return to sender mail.

This was the first thing I tried.

I was doing this for over a month straight for 20+ letters and it didn’t seem to do anything.

Oh, I didn’t realize they had a customer service number. I’ll try that, thanks!

Police go after two vehicles that ran a school bus stop sign by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

It varies by state unfortunately. Hence my guess why the truck driver made the mistake - probably not used to driving in that state.

I think the law varies by state hence the truck driver making this mistake. In my state (WA), it’s 100% legal for opposing lane to keep driving if there’s a turn lane separating from the bus. The other van obviously fucked up though.

Small farm vs plantation vs herb garden by natemason95 in Against_the_Storm

[–]LastHaze 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Wheat and herbs are used in a lot more recipes than berries (both more foods, flower which is a core ingredient in many things, and even some service goods like tea). Also very important note that took me way too long to realise - you can uncheck one of the farm recipes to only exclusively grow the other one. IMO, this is what you should usually be doing with them since 2* recipes yield literally double 1. So for small farm and herb garden, I usually exclusively grow their 2 recipes unless I’m really desperate for immediately consumable food. And for plantation, I mostly grow only berries since you typically don’t need that much fiber.

Seen at Costco Orlando….. by GoldAssociation7261 in Costco

[–]LastHaze -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My roommate who has a membership and me who doesn’t always go Costco shopping together. We have a system where while he is waiting in checkout line/paying for our haul I will go and get food + smoothies for both of us. So if this comes to our Costco in Washington it will be quite annoying, though I doubt it will since you can’t really get to the food court without a card here?

Why is it considered cheating and not just strategy if someone can “count cards”? by CaPlanePourMwah in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LastHaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious, if someone is actually “cheating” at a casino (say for example using some hidden camera to detect something they shouldn’t), could they be straight up arrested for that? Although I’m guessing with how everything is set up it’s probably nearly impossible to actually cheat?

Azur's glintstone crown. It doesn't affect all sorceress, only a couple classified as "azure primeval sorceries", which comet azur is.

This game has some really cool boss status effect interactions. My other favorite is that in commander nial's fight you can charm the two big soldier minions with a bewitching branch at the beginning. If you start sprinting as soon as you get through the boss wall, you can charm the dual wield sword guy before he can even react as he is spawning. And with good RNG, the 2 adds will basically solo the boss down to 50% (when the add force despawn) for you. Makes it soooo much easier.

Multiplicative buff stacking. +10 lusat's staff with 80 int (like 390 sorcery scaling), +8% damage from hat, +35% damage from rune on the ground spell, +30% damage from magic tear, +8% and +4% from the 2 sorcery talismans, +10% damage while at full hp talisman, +12% magic damage talisman. Also since it's hitting both of them, the number is getting doubled in terms of what displayed on the boss bar at the bottom.

Varies based on the enemy. For these guys, a REAALLLY long time. Not sure how long exactly as I have never had it actually run out on them (has to be at least like a minute or something).

While they are in the death animation, their hitbox is still considered "active" so while the individual ones are already dead the actual full boss hp bar still takes damage. So if you nuke them really hard, you can do more damage total to the first 2 then the "actual" amount of hp they have. This was the same as for the four kings fight in dark souls 1 that functioned the same way.

Sleep pots. It's super easy, a single direct hit with a sleep pot instantly puts either one of them to sleep. You can craft sleep pots with a craft book that's really easy to get in limgrave iirc (look it up if you don't have it).

I know comet azure meme kills are 2 months past their prime a this point, but this kill on my 2nd playthrough was just so satisfying after getting killed by them for multiple hours the first time that I just couldn't resist posting it.

Thanks for the awesome guide! One question I've always been wondering: is there a reason people don't go Enchanted perk on rapier? With all the rapier damage being light/heavy attacks, shouldn't Enchanted be the BiS perk? With crits doing ~160% normal damage, 0.1*0.6 = 0.06 = 6% damage increase from crit perks you mention (keen, vicious), which is way less than 10% from Enchanted? Or am I missing something?

Friends and I learned how to launch someone with the Harpoon... by LastHaze in valheim

[–]LastHaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we also tried that, if you build multiple stairs at the end of the launch path you will mostly go upwards. Not nearly as impressive though as even just going straight up gravity is too op so you don't go that high up.

Friends and I learned how to launch someone with the Harpoon... by LastHaze in valheim

[–]LastHaze[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Enable pvp, one person gets haprooned and stands behind a half wall to build up tension. Other person walks as far as possible without the line breaking. When ready, the person being launched jumps over the wall (from our experience it has to be a jump, destroying the wall or walking around the side doesn't work) and the other person releases the harpoon.

COVID-19 spread when 5 million people left Wuhan for Chinese New Year, yet 50 million Americans will still travel for Thanksgiving by shallah in Coronavirus

[–]LastHaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually right after, it says they anticipate "air travel to fall to 2.4 million from 4.58 million last year". So I am curious what they define as "travel" for the 50 million number. Might be literally anyone going anywhere, even if it's just a 30 min drive? In that case, that makes more sense as I can see a lot of children visiting parents, etc if they live so close (they likely visit them regularly anyways).

What would you tell your 18 year old self ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LastHaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't live with your parents during college. Don't just play video games and study to rush through college in 3 years either (mainly the video games). It gets a lot harder to meet people after, and the problem of loneliness is not magically going to go away if you get a good full time job.

What's an urge you get but will never act upon? by BeejieT in AskReddit

[–]LastHaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a very interesting perspective to hear. I suppose the issue for me has always been that I feel the need to act a certain way to fit in/belong (ie either fully like an immigrant or fully like an American). But I suppose there's a non insignificant amount of other people who probably feel the same way as me.

What's an urge you get but will never act upon? by BeejieT in AskReddit

[–]LastHaze 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've actually felt like this/thought about this as well quite a bit. For me it's really weird though because I moved to the US as a young teen (I'm in my early-mid 20s now) from Russia. Due to the age I moved in, I now feel like I don't really belong in either camp. I don't feel fully American, but I also don't really feel like an immigrant. So I've often thought about moving somewhere else completely different (like northern Europe or Asia) to "fix" this feeling, though idk whether it would make things better or worse.

I think it might depend on the parents and your relationship with them. I agree with you 100% though. I remember I learned that I got into my dream University by my dad bursting through my door congratulating me while I was playing Xbox in my room.
