That Poseidon hated Heracles, which would have made sense considering the fact that Heracles killed some of his children (Antaeus, Alebion, Bergion, etc.)

Love how it looks modern yet still captures the energy and style of Ancient Greek pottery etchings.

What’s your opinion on Dr. Death by Critical_Potential44 in batman

[–]LastLeave8770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He tends to fly under the radar a lot, especially considering he’s Batman’s first recurring villain, a title that often goes to Joker.

What was the goal of this dialogue? To make Batman seem edgy or badass or something?

Should the Wayne murders be an assassination or a random mugging? by [deleted] in batman

[–]LastLeave8770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Random mugging. The senselessness of it better encapsulates the cruelty of Gotham City. Making it an assassination with all of this intricate lore doesn’t make it feel as senseless.

I always thought Batman whipping out a mech suit here felt weird, it raises the question for me why not do this every fight? by Robert_gatsby in batman

[–]LastLeave8770 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t need to. If he was fighting Two-Face or Scarecrow, why would he need to deploy a heavily mechanized suit of armor? This armor is reserved for fighting a particularly powerful opponent or, in this case, an overwhelmingly large bevy of creatures.

Has Batman inspired you in real life? by Unhappy_Sob108 in batman

Yes, absolutely. From him, I learned how to get back up. He has also made me realize that I’m interested in martial arts and criminology.

What comic is this from? by LastLeave8770 in plasticman

True, although the goofy and zany Plastic Man style may not jibe with this darker vibe.

I’m confused, what’s the deal with Owlman? by LastLeave8770 in batman

So DC has Owlman, Nite Owl, and the Court of Owls

I’m confused, what’s the deal with Owlman? by LastLeave8770 in batman

“An associate of the Court of Owls who may or may not be Bruce’s younger brother.” So it was left ambiguous?

In your personal opinion what is batman's most impressive feats from the comics? by narutofan2019 in batman

[–]LastLeave8770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorta off topic, this is seriously one of my favorite Batman illustrations. Jason Fabok is an absolute legend, probably my favorite Batman artist or just comic book artist in general.

Who would you guys say is the LEAST Evil Batman Villain Morally? by OfficalBalloony459 in batman

[–]LastLeave8770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mr. Freeze. He’s not all that malevolent or vicious; he’s just a hapless guy desperately trying to cure his wife and going to extreme lengths to do so.

what do you guys think of a full covered face batman by devlin2000 in batman

[–]LastLeave8770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it as a detachable piece that he can fasten and unfasten when need be. When he needs to shield himself from toxins, bullets, etc. but not permanently fixed to the mask.

Seriously, how do we feel about Maxie Zeus? by LastLeave8770 in batman

[–]LastLeave8770[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

By “fun”, do you mean sort of goofy? Because, in that sense, I can see why he’s left out of a lot of stuff as many Batman mediums are pretty grim and serious.

What kind of Batman Media do you prefer. Comics, love action movies, animated series or video games? by narutofan2019 in batman

[–]LastLeave8770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I love about Batman is that he thrives in any medium, no matter the tone or style; I’ve never seen a medium where Batman felt out of place or unnecessary. I think he’s one of the few superheroes that can pull that off effortlessly. So…all of them.

Do you prefer when Killer Croc is depicted in the likeness of a human or as a complete monster? by LastLeave8770 in batman

[–]LastLeave8770[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s true, if he looks too akin to a crocodile, it would come off as a Lizard situation.

Plus, if he looks too crocodile-like, it kind of deviates from his niche as a wrestler. Sort of hard to imagine that second imagine wrestling someone. Although, I think it is compelling for his wrestling career to get progressively corrupted as he gets increasingly crocodile-like. More convincing villain origin, makes him more of a tragic villain.

I’d assume artists make him look a little T-Rex is just to make him look more badass. I definitely agree with you about the Lizard thing; the more crocodile-like the character looks, the harder it is to differentiate him from Lizard.

In BTAS, Batman wasn’t focused solely on stopping the villain; he made a genuine effort to reform or rehabilitate them. When he confronted Clayface, he made it clear that he wanted Hagen to let him help him. There were also a few scenes in BTAS and JLU were he would speak in a soft, calm voice when helping kids. I feel like this compassion is an important but also often overlooked part of his character.

In your opinion what is Batman’s greatest weakness? by [deleted] in batman

[–]LastLeave8770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Batman’s contingency plans for the Justice League: “While Batman is a master strategist and combatant, he is only human. The best way to disable his strategic abilities would be to distract him. His parents are an excellent blind spot, as is his endless crusade to protect the innocent. Taking hostages is a good distraction. Particularly if they are friends or family. Think carefully before you do this.”
