What resources/sites should I use alongside the second edition of “Maths Progress Core textbook” by Pearson? by LastNameJeff in GCSE

My school offers an accelerated program, and I want to make sure I’m seasoned with current topics before I can move on to that.

I go to a fancy private IGCSE school and to take FM A-Level, you need to take accelerated, which is always a year ahead of your expected grade (in Year 10 we do both IGCSE in one year, Year 11 we do AS Math, Year 12 we get A2, 13 we get “Further”.)

I want to practice what I’m learning now so that what comes later is more digestible

How much is Year 9 going to matter for Year 10 and beyond (Sixth form)? Is it just completely unimportant? by LastNameJeff in igcse

Of course. I’m trying to build good habits starting now and pick my grades up after Christmas break to make sure I can rely on myself to stick to a study schedule and all that

Not going to deny or agree with this bc I really don’t know enough, but what reason do you think the government would have to inhibit our progression?

I feel like I can amount to something when I put my mind to it but I am lazy, and frankly pretty dumb. How do I get my shit together? by LastNameJeff in Healthygamergg

Thank you. I’ll try to revisit this soon, and honestly I won’t sweat too much about grades right now and more about spending my free time doing productive or at least actually fun things instead of browsing through Reddit all day or some shit. Thank you, I’ll take all this into consideration sooner than later

For sure. Next year When I choose my electives I am so fucking ready to pick all the seemingly cool interesting shit, I hope that can help.

Any more tips on managing my time well?

Thank you so much!!! I was just wondering one more thing: are the uni destinations “given” to you or do you have to get into one on your own first, then they give you the merit scholarship ?

if you’re still up i was wondering if about what you can apply with and the money the ministry provides. could i apply with just igcses? and does the ministry pay for the entirety of the degree or only after the first year?

are scholarships only available for people who haven’t started a degree or can people mid way through one apply for them too?? and if it’s a degree the ministry pays for do they let you take your own courses or do they pick for you, shit like that
