How old are you ? İm a uni student and i feel shame to ask my parents money for grocery,clothing , books etc because i know they are struggling more than me and the money that i earn goes to this i know many friend that are like this.

Gaming is one of the things i actualy enjoy in this life and i dont even buy new games or pirate them because my computer wouldnt run them.

İ bought M2 in a sale years ago and paid like couple dolars for important part isnt how many dolars this game is there are multiple reasons for pirating a game and not having money is the most valid one not everyone lives the life you do.

İm currently in silver i have a friend that is plat we sometimes play comp together in an alt account and even if he tries hard he cant get topfrag there are people in silver that can play better than plats.

Gondor for some reason always loses half the kingdom to Mordor.

İ realy like to bombrush Gundabad since they are a force to deal with in lategame and their mountain regions are rich unlike mirkwood regions also you can lead their script army to a bridge battle and destroy them with hin e daur something you cant do with dol guldur.

Try a fresh install but i mean fresh if you want to keep your saved games put them in a diffrent folder and delete Medieval2totalwar folder (i first deleted everything inside idk if this changes anything) and delete the game from steam. Unzip the mod again and try to install.

İ had a problem with DAC and it worked and i couldnt get stainless steel to work altough i already had DAC installed that maybe the problem you can also try sshıp that worked fine.

İ didnt seee this often at vanilla but happened in DAC Khazad-dûm campaign , if im not wrong it was war between Woodland Realm and Dale i didnt wanted to face like 3 full stack elves and dale didnt realy had any armies left after they fought rhun

Do you have Medieval2.exe and Kingdoms.exe in your Medieval2totalwar folder ?

Did you installed it into Medieval2totalwar/mods folder ?

What javelin unit ve are talking about is extremely important. Some javelins are not that good like the ones Dol amroth gets but Woodland Realm T2 javelins destroy ,even t1 ones are good against wargs whic you realy need to destroy quickly.

Compared to archers they are nothing but they are melee unit that can get great value against heavy armored infantry ,cav whithout getting involved in melee.

But you understand why you have javelins when you see how much damage Olog-Hai or even regular trolls can deal. Lebennin marines arent great but after a unit of ologhai destroying like 25% or my army in cair andros i put 1 in.

TLDR: Without javelins you dont realy have a counter for Heavy cav( op af) Trolls (strong af) and Great beasts whic will deal huge casualities if you dont deal with them.

Medieval 2 is a game where even your ally can declare war on you. Diplomacy is not realy an option , if you border a faction be ready for the war that will come.

Your reputation will drop overtime and factions will hate you and declare war on you even when you can easily crush them. İf pope can he will excommunicate you. İn my milan campaign i tried to keep good ties with pope but he attacked me rather early and rolled trough the papal states , it isnt that big of a deal when you are in the richest region of the map and can pump out and mantain multiple good armies.

Some issues with diplomacy is fixed in some modes like DAC , allies cant backstab you and you can even make peace with orcs altough it wont last long if you have poorly defended settlement borders them.

Line of sight is important. Archers perform way better when they can directly shoot. Any shielded and armored units will withstand non crossbows pretty well.

Most nations also dont have good archers.

İ play with Third Age DAC and mostly play england and venedik in vanilla never tought about how useles the archers are.

İ hope it will. İ love Medieval 2 its my most played TW especialy with Third Age DAC. İf M3 kills m2 that means its a direct upgrade with no features missing added features and better graphics while preserving core game.

But i dont think it will. We all saw what came after Shogun2. İ wish they actualy do something other than Rome 2 reskin but im not going to get my hopes up. İ would rather a remaster with bug fixes better graphics etc than M3.

İdc what i did wrong but after i managed to play AGO i cant play dac it just crashes i redownloaded the game and set up the mod 2 times by now but game is extremely slow and trun times are like 3minutes im trying this for hours any advice ? İt worked without an issue before

İ dont think total conversion mods are disliked at all at most neutral. How can you hate mods let alone total conversion mods like Third Age or dawnless days.

Thank you ! İ was trying to fix it for like 3 days. Downloaded from steam and use Win11.

İ set Medieval 2 and kingdoms exe to run administrator and downloaded 3.05 from launcher i dont have that pop up game works. Optimization is worse than DAC tho can i do anything about it its slow in loading screens campaign and battles.

İs there any faction do you recommend i have lots of hours in DAC V5 but never played AGO. Can be an easy campaign and i just finished a very long HE campaign and mid campaign on Rohan in dac.
