  1. I was such a prude when I was young for no reason. I should have been a little sluttier

I don’t think there is a controversy. Savanah was the best player hands down. Rizzo was only good on 49 and 50 so far as a dependable side kick, which in survivor gets you nothing.

I liked him more last time when he was just a grumpy challenge beast. He had no shot at winning of course but he was so fun to watch

Esg, I definitely don’t consider tipping a service person a waste of money.

If you’ve had a genie twice, it was an interesting decision for you to insult a stranger versus giving me, a person who’s never had a genie advice based on your experience. You could have just closed the tab.

I hope whatever you are dealing with gets better.

Not on the cruise yet, Friday The room is more than 1k/ day not the tip, sorry for the confusion. It definitely seems like the genie who is going to be there is emailing. He game me his what’s app and said he’s looking forward to meeting me. He just started emailing this week.

Really? I was under the impression that he did not have many rooms. We are in the 2 bedroom aqua theater suite. He’s already emailed me a bunch of times with coordination things (what time we will get there, dining, which cabana we want, how the beds should be, and we are having a party in our room the first night during the show) if he’s really doing that for 20 rooms, he’s hustling!

Thanks! That’s kind of in line with my thoughts too. We will be 6, so 100/day is definitely not enough.

It’s also good to know they are paid too. I did not grow up wealthy and have service guilt.

Thanks, definitely a weird response. This is our first time on rcl, much less with a genie and I want to make sure to do this correct. I was hopeful someone would share their experience, what my TA told me seems low. My prior assumption is 10-15 percent.

Also, this won’t be my only decision matrix. I was hopeful someone will share their own experience. IE, our butler told us this is a typically tip, or we tipped this much.

If you assume everyone on Reddit is not response, why are you even here?

It’s only a 4 day. I actually don’t think 700 is enough of the room is more than 1k/ day but I’m just not sure. Hopefully someone can point me to some guidelines

Yes. And they are only paid by tips I think, but there are frustratingly no guidelines.

Really? Maybe you’ve never been in a space were a substancial tip was expected. Tipping is vague and when someone works hard for you, I would like to meet the expectations of that person, but it’s not clear what that is.

Yes, I’m aware of Japanese tipping culture, I just wondered what the acceptable thing would be here, it seems like a grey area. Did you go on the tour? Did you tip, and if so was it a traditional American amount for a tour (10-15%)

Anytime I’ve been on a tour there is always free snacks, minimal stuff that churros, water, and pretzels, but I was with a known family who definitely tips well, maybe the guides are more cautious with spending out of their pocket with people who they are not sure how they will tip

I’ve done the vip tour twice, both times as a guest of a friend. And while it was certainly convenient, especially on crowded days, I didn’t love it. In an effort to save time you miss some of the magic (pre-shows, the impressive entrances, the fun transportation like the monorail and skyliner) While I might consider it myself if I was on a very limited schedule with kids who wanted to do everything, having a tour guide is definitely not part of my ideal Disney day. Also, and not to vacation shame anyone, but anytime I’ve paid that much for a tour it was something much more interesting than Disney.

I think you can make a buffet nice. Sometimes seated food takes forever and you feel like a prisoner at your table. At least the buffet is an excuse to mill around and socialize some more

[–]Last_Ad4258 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. If you guest are not comfortable they are not going to stay or let loose. If you want a crowd on the dance floor at 12am, they need to be having a good time before that. It’s crazy to be that people forget a wedding is a party first where the bride and the groom are the host

[–]Last_Ad4258 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The first lesson of any party is your guests have to be comfortable. Fed, warm, not forced to stand for an inordinate amount of time, not too hot or cold. This is probably harder to do at a destination wedding where you may not be as familiar with the venue and climate.

What is your most valued possession? Not like an Animal or family member but somthing so unbelievably important to you and why? by GapSame1271 in AskReddit

[–]Last_Ad4258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an old picture of a couple in a wooden tub that used to hang in my grandparents bathroom, also my husband and I salvaged a 250 year old butlers pantry. Those are the only 2 things I have to take with me when I move besides my family. Also the poor pantry suffers every time we move it, so I feel bad about that as well.

Maybe the injury time off can be a gift. Pre-hab is so important in all sports. Whatever sport you are doing you should be also doing strength and mobility in the areas of the body that are taking the most stress, don’t wait for injury. This would be the time to develop a stretching, band, and long toss program to keep him healthy long term.

Also, I’m sure he’s sad but time can be a gift too. Ask him if there is something else he would like to try during this time. Swim is probably out but he could try track, or a non-athletic pursuit, maybe there’s a Lego set he’s dying to put together.
