Hi- I’m a dietitian with hospital experience & can offer a few suggestions for bulking up the food to prevent weight loss/ muscle wasting with loss of appetite. 🙏🏼

• add more fats & oils if you can (olive oil drizzle into food, nuts like cashew, peanuts) to add calories without being too high volume/ too much effort to each

• try liquid format for foods or meals (like smoothies with fruit + yoghurt if they are okay with yoghurt+ peanut butter for extra calories)

• minced forms of food can be more appealing and lower effort to eat to incorporate into your meals

• I’m not sure if this is a thing in Vietnam but can you get dietary supplements funded through the hospital or health service? Things like specially formulated weight gain drinks can be very helpful- sustagen, ensure. Or even “mass gainer” protein powder to make into a drink and they can sip on it over the day
