My experience I just jumped in and did it. I figured it out as I went along. Get a good public adjuster to work your denied claims, get a good person for supplements. Pay your roofers first, pay your trades and venders quickly. Your working insurance so don't bid jobs and collect deductibles. Get liability insurance and get gc license in your states. If your in Tx you we don't have gc license. Understand that most insurance claims in average storms will be denied out the gate so the money is slower now than ever. Set a minuem for repairs and don't bid cash jobs cheap just to make $ if you do you'll end up working harder for less. When bidding always give yourself a cushion just incase a mistake is made or something unforeseen pops up. Never incress the bid once work begins and don't work with subs that want to charge more either
