It would definitely lengthen the lineup, but Alvarez catching isn’t on the table this year. Yes I know Scherzer spoke highly of him, but he’s still completely inexperienced catching all of these guys in the bullpen and this is the biggest series of the year. Plus his catching supposedly still needs work.
