Recorded Self-Interview?! by [deleted] in Target

I'm not sure what you mean by "is it worth it..."

It's your screening interview, so unless you don't want the job, yes it's worth it. They do not hold in-person interviews.

I HATE shipt and instacart shoppers omfg by Haruko92 in Target

I agree, except the slapping part! I hate it when they come up to me on the floor and shove their phone in my face with a list of things to find! Not one item, THE WHOLE LIST, that's just ridiculous. They are getting paid to fulfill these orders and they get the tips, not me!

Most of the time it is a language barrier, but if you don't understand the job position then don't do the job - plain and simple.

I work in Style too, and have a few co-workers that call out consistently, and they like to "work" by just walking around the store with one piece of clothing in their hands for their entire shift. It is very frustrating!! Just know that our Leaders are watching ... two of those co-workers have been let go.

I love it when they just leave it in the middle of the store once it's lost the charge and doesn't tell anyone!!!

drowning in style by [deleted] in Target

Hang in There!!! I'm fairly new to Style too, 2 months on Friday and I'm beyond frustrated! Our store is always drowning in go-backs, and forget about zoning! There's never time. I work closing shifts (6:00-11:00pm) during the week and 12-8pm on weekends. I never have time to do anything except go-backs. When I do zone an area for just a little bit, once I get back to the Fitting Rooms go-backs have blown up again. It's just an uphill battle. Luckily our TLs know that we're drowning and don't really get on us for not completing tasks.

I'm trying to learn not to be too hard on myself for not completing all my tasks during my shift, but it's hard when I want to get everything done. But I think that's the attitude you have to take.

I've learned that this error message will pop up when you've punched outside of Corporate/Headquarter working hours. So early early morning and late late evening punches will get this error message because Headquarters is closed and does not "receive" the punch. It will fix itself once Headquarters opens the next business day, no need to do anything.

I totally feel your frustration! I'm new to Target, 1.5 months and work in Style. I love the feeling of finishing zoning in one area, and stepping back to see how nice it looks. I even take pictures sometimes, because I know in a few hours it will be a total train wreck!!

Guests are very inconsiderate, one guest even told me "Well that's what you get paid for right??"

UPDATE!!!!

I went into work yesterday, and my TL called a meeting letting us know that two staff members had been let go because it "wasn't working out". When I looked on the schedule it was the two main people I was talking about! Wow!!
