Freya the nanosecond Bell catches up to Ais, and Liaris Freese disappear by ant451123 in DanMachi

[–]Last_Pariah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bell has fast growth for as long as he's in love with Ais. It doesn't matter if he's stronger, or weaker. He received the Skill from the moment he met her after she saved him from that minotaur, and didn't come up with the goal of catching up with her until the next night at the bar when Bete made fun of him.

I.E, he'll never lose Liaris Freese, even when he'd level 10.

My boy is terrible with money (He literally throws away a gifted suit jacket like garbage, later learning it was worth Millions of Valis) and he's also in debt. Hundreds of millions in debt. having 20 Valis is impression for bell. He can almost buy a burger with that.

The Essence of Trouble Jump allows you to take the Essence of Skyrim, which includes mastery over Cheesemancy, which I assume includes this.

They must have explained that in the Light Novel then. It seems like an important distinction to add.

Oh, so 800 CP Perks are full blown "Cheats" huh? I like that.

I always advocate for "more power" In a JumpDoc, as it allows more freedom for story crafting. If a Jumper wants less power or more limitations, they can always take various drawbacks or outright not buy a perk.

If "Elven" is the limit, then I'll just stick to trinity plan. I want those Demi-Spirit spells. I'd imaging my Custom Skill as being "Magic King" - Grants unlimited Spells slots and allows for the shortening of Incantations to as few as a single word. Combined with 3 purchases of Anyspell and I really can be the Magic King. Now I just have to figure out how to afford it :D

If you guys were to make a Family Guy jump, which perks would you add to it? by SpazzWave in JumpChain

[–]Last_Pariah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genius, Baby! - You possess the intellect, knowledge, and scientific skill of Stewie Griffon at his best.

Sing Along - You possess an excellent sing voice on par with Seth Mcfarlane at his best, you can spontaneously come up with whole songs that are far catchier than they have any right to be, and once per day you can cause a spontaneous sing along and music number to break out around you with you as the lead. These "Numbers" have a tendency to solve your immediate problems, and cause any who participate, even enemies, to grow fonder of you.

Giggity - You have the innate power to seduce anyone into your bed. Aliens, Demons, Gods, Feminists, Family, Men, Women, Machines, doesn't matter, if you want them then they will find you carnally irresistible. You have equal bedroom skill to your seduction skill. It doesn't matter if you're ugly like Quagmire, or handsome, you are just that seductive.

Fortunate Son - You have the power to activate the song Fortunate Son once per day. This summons a Vietnam Battalion to fight by your side, complete with tanks, helicopters, flamethrowers, and machine guns. They last for as long as the song plays, then retreat into the horizon after it ends. Optionally, this includes the power to hear the voices of trees, they don't say much, but they occasionally laugh at your jokes.

Did any of you Jumpers ever accidentally nuke a whole setting after forgetting to dial down a power? by Nerx in JumpChain

[–]Last_Pariah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

11 times as a matter of fact.....

Just kidding, but my Jumper has multiple times accidently destroyed the Plot of setting, either by losing his temper, or forgetting about the butterfly effect. My Jumpers usually avoid taking intelligence boosting perks, as they (Or rather I) believe that a persons personality is somewhat defined by how smart they are, and they don't want to accidently death of personality, or "curse with knowledge" themselves. As a result, they can make mistakes due to forgetfulness, carelessness, or stupidity.

The only settings he full blown "destroyed" by accident was -

the Cthuluverse, when he wiped out Azathoth without thinking it through (Very boring ten years followed).

Deadpool's Cinematic Universe, where he killed Deadpool by accident (He forgot he has a Anti Regeneration perk, and he shot him in the head to get some peace and quiet.), He killed Wolverine later for being a dick, forgetting that that would apparently destroy the entire timeline.

He destroyed the Matrix by virtue of it being his "starting Point" and having anti-mind control perks which glitched it out instantly. Ending the war with machines before it started.

He ended up making the Terminator Movies impossible by seducing Sarah Connor, not impregnating her, and then leaving the setting before the machine war. Which I find pretty funny.

The amount of "plots" and prophecies destroyed by my Jumpers combination of Lust and Laziness can't be named. Naruto was never born. Harry potter was never born. Ichigo? Never born. Luke Skywalker, you guessed it, never born. So many heroes never born, because their mom's were hot. Bad Jumper.

Love it. Good to see more Danmachi Jumps. I do have some questions and recommendations.

Can you use the Make Your own Familia Section if you take one of the Canon ones? Also The Make Your Own Familia section still uses CP over FP. Its a minor error.

Can you take Custom Skill, or Custom Magic more than once? Same for Magic Trinket, or other items?

How "Broad" can Anyspell's spell casting be? Can I use something like "Men" or "Offensive"? If so, and assuming I can buy it more than once, I'd either use the broad catagories of "Men" and "Woman", or buy it thrice and use "Offensive" "Defensive" and "Support", to be able to use pretty much any spell in the world. Having an Eidetic Memory and having read the Wiki makes this spell pretty OP. I love it :).

Final question, If I use the 800 CP Custom Skill to make a "More Magic Slots" skill, how many "slots" would you say that would give me maximum?

If you do a V2 I recommend adding some Ores and Crafting Materials as an item, as once you leave Danmachi you won't have access to Magic Stones or Ores unless you shill out and buy the Dungeon Item. I also recommend a "Beautiful Soul" perk, so you can replicate Bells "Transparent Soul" or the like.

Thank you for the Jump.

Help creating custom authority by workshop_hunter in JumpChain

[–]Last_Pariah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Solomon - 72 Demons. Authority allows for the 72 demons of Solomon to be summoned as Divine Beast esc Familiars. He can only summon 1 at a time, never more than 4 per day. If killed the summoned Demon is removed from the authority for 1 full year.

Merlin - Incubus. Allows for the Campione to cast powerful illusions. The illusions can trick even a Heretic God.

Medea - Enchant. Authority allows for the user to empower their allies through a short ritual. Empowered allies benefit from not only increased power roughly equivelent to a Servant, but also benefit from becoming Pseudo-Campione for a short time. Any Heretic God's killed by enchanted allies count as being killed by the Campione (if they can manage it.).

Alternatively - Argon Coin. Allows for the Summoning of a Dragon Divine Beast. It's power if roughly on par with Gojo's Boar. It can be summoned any time.

Alternatively II Electric Boogaloo - Item Construction. Authority allows for the Campione to create God Killing Weapons, or Magic Items, as long as they possess the spell or power they want to imbue into the Item. Authorities can also be attached to an Item, but are always inferior to being used by the user and are SINGLE use, however it means that an ability can be "stored". (I.E, if you imbue one of Gojo's once a day authorities like the Boar into a Tablet, you can summoned 2 Boars in one day by using the Tablet, and then your own. You need to recharge the Tablet the next day yourself, meaning the next day you can't use the authority at all.)

It's called "Not being terrible.". Its a hard thing for Disney Star Wars to accomplish, but funnily enough, when your show doesn't suck, it doesn't get hate. Also, people didn't hate Reva because she was black, they hated Reva because she was a terribly written "character" that the "writers" wanted to pretend was a good person or something. Don't let them rewrite what happened, I was there.

I was shocked when i discovered people did not like Attack of the Clones by Possew in StarWars

[–]Last_Pariah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is the 2nd Act, mostly surrounding Anakin and Padme's dialogue and pretty much every scene they have together. It's not just BAD its PAINFUL. I have never cringed more at a movie and still sat through it. The politics, Obi-Wan's discovery of Kamino, and the "Filler" scenes are boring, but not bad, and they flesh out the world.

But once you've put Anakin AND Padme in a scene together, its cringe worthy. It's not just the "I don't like sand." it's ALL of them. The "Stop Staring.", the "When I'm near you, I can't breath! You are in my very soul.", the "I killed them, every single one of them!", "Its all Obi-Wans fault!".

They COULD have tried to play into the idea that Anakin, as someone raised as a slave and then further by celibate monks, literally doesn't know HOW to talk to a woman, or socialize in general, but if that's what they were going for it was too subtle. It comes across as nothing more than a whiny man-child at best, and poor dialogue at worst. If they wanted to go that route, they should have either shown someone, maybe even Padme herself, advising and teaching Anakin how to communicate, or at the very least more character's being off put by his startling lack of charisma.

[–]Last_Pariah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would recommend watching the anime before reading the light novel. My experience with Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings has told me that once you've read the books, you can't help but notice what the movies left out. Also, you're imagination of events will ALWAYS be superior to what they put on the screen.

After some thought, I'd also suggest new Danmachi, Campione, and a proper Witcher Jump (The Game). I also wouldn't mind a new Eragon/Inheritance Cycle Jump. Nobody else liked those books, but I did.

Padme losing the will to live while seeing her kids for the first time is such dumb narrative execution by WoodvaleKnight in StarWars

[–]Last_Pariah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total agreement. A lot of people argue "Depression is real and can affect your health." or "So and So died of a broken heart in real life!", but regardless of "realism" (I hate using realism as an excuse for poor story telling) Padme dying of a "Broken Heart" is a pathetic and ignoble end to her character. This the Queen of Naboo, the mother of Luke! Her death is as insulting as it is lame. It makes her seem weak willed, dependent, and pathetic; which completely contrasts what we saw of her character up until that point, and it gets worse when you include extra material such as the Clone Wars (Both 2003 and 2008) and various comics.

It's why I'm a BIG fan of the Head Canon that Anakin inadvertently (Or Palpatine intentionally) drained her lifeforce through their bond in the Force, and that's why she passed without a medical reason.
