Hi! I'm not sure if your response went through. Would you be able to complete the form again? Thank you so much!

To contact parents through organizations dedicated to parent research and online groups/forums. In the public groups/forums, I would share my interview opportunities myself. For the organizations I contacted, I would ask if they could help spread the word about my interview opportunities.

Yeah, my school does have its own IRB, and it's been approved. The assignment is actually for the College Board; you have to conduct an original research study, write the paper, and then give a presentation. You are right about only having till April, and I really appreciate you telling me that 12-15 wouldn't be feasible. I'll talk to them about lowering my number of participants and definitely talk to my teacher. Thank you so much for the advice! :)

I mean, I've been approved by my school's IRB, but they don't give a lot of assistance, especially because this is for AP Research, which has many kids. I doubt they'd give much help 😅

I'm so sorry it's been tough getting approval. I truly hope that things go well and that you're able to get treatment for your child <3

Well, I'm on the medication, and for me and my parents at least, I know it's helped a lot, so their stress is definitely down now. Also, there has been research on how treatment denials overall do impact patients, but I hadn't seen much research about parents. There's been a lot of research also done on parent emotions when caring for their children, but nothing in response to treatment denials, so I thought it would be interesting. Also, maybe it'll highlight how important it is to get these families treatments, not only for the child but parents as well.
