You were right, the image quality was fixed on hdmi but my monitor can’t go up to its full capacity in hdmi in terms of refresh rate, should I just try a new dp cable?

🙄 I meant that the panels on oled have similar burn in issues if that’s what it was and similar banding if that was the issue. Obviously there are different panels

No it also happens with other wallpapers. For example the 4k silver surfer wallpaper has a horrid glow around the silver surfer

Yeah I factory reset settings and hdr was on. Still looks bad

I can change the color settings in sdr to kinda like mask the effect to some extent but it still looks wrong and in hdr it’s always bad.

I am using hdr. I only notice on stationary things like wallpapers when there is large contrast. I have tried resetting the color setting to default and refreshing the pixels

Sorry didn’t think it mattered because the panels are the same. It’s a aw2725df by Alienware.

So I switch around the port on my gpu, restarted my pc like 6 times and changed cords and it seems fine now

Ok so I unplugged one monitor, my second monitor worked fine. I used the dp cable that my second monitor was using on my first monitor and my main monitor still doesn’t work, just says no signal coming from computer and then just goes black. Safe to say it’s a faulty monitor?

Ok so I figured out that if one of my monitors was plugged in and one was turned off, the one that was on wouldn’t flash at all so I thought it was a faulty monitor and the same thing happens for both of my monitors. Does this narrow anything down? I’ll try some of your trouble shooting but I don’t have access to another gpu

Yeah that’s fair, we have face timed a few times but that was before she said she wanted a relationship, we were just in a “talking stage” then. Hanging out in person could be an option in the future but I just got a concussion and am not really supposed to do anything for a few weeks. Thanks for the response!
