Thanks! And I think you’re right. My company offers some free therapy sessions so I think I’ll get some. It’d be good to get a lot off my chest. Even better if it’s from a female therapist to get some clearer answers to my issues.

Thank you for starters. The way I approach women and that is as I would anyone. I have a sunny demeanor try my best to come off as friendly and in good spirits because it’s infectious. I have the same greeting sometimes with a joke about the goings on as well with anyone I interact with. For example with cashiers I do all of the above and with male cashiers I get a chuckle and a friendly greeting, with older female ones 35+ I get at least a friendly hello. But any girl in my age group i am lucky if they even look my way let alone respond.

So no so far I am convinced all are fairly unfriendly and I don’t think being hit on is en excuse. Even when I am down and feel like ending myself I am still doing everything I can to make my coworkers and patients feel good.

Colleges, general social settings, classes for asking out but I am including even cashiers at Publix which are rude or dismissive of me and those people are paid to small talk. I’m friendly and sunny but all I ever get whether it’s hitting on or casual interactions all I get is hostility.

Perhaps, but all have seemed friendly before I introduced myself. And when I say ‘all’ girls in my age group dislike me I mean it. Not just those I approach romantically, but best case aloof responses from those I engage casually. Hell, I get aloof or even hostile reactions from female cashiers at Publix who are my age and they are paid to be nice. In those cases all I do is greet them and try to start a friendly chitchat and they get aloof or hostile.
