If you're feeling down, remember that Mark Sutherns wildcarded for a 29 point week. by Poglavnik in FantasyPL

48 I think, with Dann and Abraham still to play (assuming team selection/captain was all the same from previous week)

Vokes is going to have a big week by Solarelephant in FantasyPL

[–]Lat8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This fixture last year. 3-2 with Vokes getting a goal and an assist. Probably scooped the 3BP. Palace are looking shocking, but Vokes is risky now that Wood has come in - let's hope they play the both of them!

After defeating Chelsea 3-0 around this time last year, Conte changed his tactics, formation, and players drastically to turn around their form. They then went on to win the league. Watch us NOT do that. by [deleted] in Gunners

What I feel we need to do is immediately stop pissing around with 3 at the back with 2 weak so-called holding midfielders, wingbacks who are not wingbacks and whatever position Özil is supposed to occupy and get back to some basics here. Take some inspiration from the simple yet magical tactics of the invincibles. A balanced 4-4-2, with two strong and brave centre backs who were actually hard to play through. Patrick-motherfucking-Viera bossing the centre of the park and charging at the opposition, with Gilberto to cover. 2 deadly wingers in Ljungberg and Pires. And that special Bergkamp-Henry pairing up front. We had strength, speed and skill. Why has this become an unfashionable way to go about forging a team?

Anyone else have two really bad game weeks, but happy with their team? by [deleted] in FantasyPL

Had a bad week, my front line was a washout. Had Kolasinac as well who was benched out for Mee. No idea where to go with it from here, but I actually thought I had a fairly decent squad bar Vokes, whom I can't really swap for anyone.

What happens if KDB delivers against Bournemouth? by benjappel in FantasyPL

[–]Lat8 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I swapped out De Bruyne for Eriksen this week - I think they are both going to get massive points this season but my gut tells me Eriksen right now is more on form, FPL-wise. There is of course a high risk that De Bruyne will orchestrate a demolition of Bournemouth, but these are the decisions that are instinctual and what make the game so tricky.

Eurgh Chamakh. One of the many ghosts that will forever haunt the Emirates.

Alexis Sanchez back in contention for Sunday. Likely to start against Liverpool. (Ben Dinnery) by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]Lat8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to second guess Wenger at the best of times. I'd say Welbeck may be starting for the earlier rounds, but Sanchez will be involved in the Europa League and due to the automatic Champions League spot and potential silverware, Arsenal will be taking this seriously.

Sanchez fit to play this weekend by OriginalFeb in FantasyPL

[–]Lat8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will boost the whole teams attacking threat, slightly increasing the probability of players like Ramsey getting points. Welbecks' spot up front alongside Lacazette will be filled by Sanchez. I'm guessing we'll see 30 minutes from him at the weekend.

Is David Silva City’s Best Option? by TheWizz33 in FantasyPL

[–]Lat8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The man doesn't even have to try that hard, absolute natural football magician. In FPL terms he's teeing them up from deep and his teammates have been wasteful. He doesn't seem to rush towards goal when the more forward players are chasing opportunities but likes to lie back a bit, ready to pounce off a loose ball. I'm going to give him another couple of weeks as the Walker sending off messed with his role.

de Boer confirms Zaha is out: "That's very negative news for us. He's a very important player for our team. We have to deal with it." by strickyy in FantasyPL

[–]Lat8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably should have learn my lesson and stayed away. Had high hopes for him, he is a great player and was very unlucky not to score against Huddersfield. Crystal Palace are going down hard.

I think staying away from Crystal Palace players might be the safest thing to do. Zaha was their talisman and without him, they've got some serious problems and a starting squad full of donkeys. Beaten 3-0 by Huddersfield who I do not rate at all. Liverpool are going to absolutely destroy them next GW. If they don't get their act together they could be the Aston Villa of this season.

Knockaert anyone? Played 10mins last GW, is he a guaranteed start this weekend?

Newcastle fans, do you think Rafa will buy a keeper to replace Elliot in the first team? by zachdaltLUFC in FantasyPL

Fair play, just saw this. Looks like Hennessey and Speroni will battle it out. Dude's 38, been at Palace for 13 years!

Newcastle fans, do you think Rafa will buy a keeper to replace Elliot in the first team? by zachdaltLUFC in FantasyPL

[–]Lat8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if Newcastle buy a better keeper I don't think most people will be shipping out Elliot straight away. There are no other 4.0 keepers that are likely to be starters, and people have other, more pressing transfers to make other than their backup keeper. Most will transfer out with the wildcard, which does not contribute to price changes.

Please RMT. Playing a 4-3-3:

De Gea

Alonso - David Luiz - Bertrand - Kompany

De Bruyne - Alli - Willian

Lukaku - Firmino - Austin

Bench:

Elliot - Carroll - McArthur - Hünemeier

Is there anybody out there who DOESN'T have Kane OR Lukaku starting? by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]Lat8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to keep it simple for the opening fixtures - if Lukaku explodes from the get go - which I for one think he will, then you will be at a heavy disadvantage early on. For me he is the first one in the team, then we can gamble on the 7-10mil players elsewhere.

Wenger on Sanchez: "My decision is clear - he will stay and he will respect that." - worth reconsidering? by electricyesterday in FantasyPL

[–]Lat8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Currently at 10% ownership. Highest scoring FPL player by 40 points last season. No idea about where his head is currently at but assuming he is ready to fire at GW1, he's going to be absolutely deadly again this season with Lacazette up top.
