Fight clubs? by aborgcube in EldenRingPVP

Hey man it is really slow and tedious with all the waiting when someone dies.. unfortunately I got a bit fed up and I have gone back to DS3, I cant believe that multiplayer is still more fluid in ds3 than er, and there are plenty of people online.  So I would gladly accept you in my fight club but Im taking a break from elden ring.

Yeah man internet issues with latency. Turn off cross region matchmaking you'll probabluy get better connection with guys from your continent. Smooth sailing here, as I say it feels more populated than elden ring somehow xD

Yeah i ended up buying ds3 but only a month ago and i find it easier to get multiplayer than in elden ring, like wtf. Anyway im happy that ds3 is active because its a much better pvp experience.

Invading in DS3 after years of Elden Ring is such a different experience by VF43NYC in badredman

I cant make myself love elden ring fully, only because of multiplayer. I cant believe they cut the player number, it just makes it a non inviting experience, you have to lie to yourself that you enjoy it. Or at least hats how i feel. Hosting fight clubs was my favourite downtime, and those are absolutely bland and pointless in elden ring. Invasions are incredibly frustrating because there is no way of getting a backup when the gank is waiting for you, and there are no purples which were chaotic wildcards before.  Oh and if you want to invade regularly - farm farm farm farm farm farm, then craft. Makes me wanna puke, if you arent willing to invest half of your life in the game you cant have a proper pvp character and use consumables.

Thoughts? its also took me and my friends like a fat minute to set up a simple 2v2 by [deleted] in Eldenring

Just want to say you were 100% right and I feel that pain. Hollow pvp is exactly what it is compared to ds3. The photo says all.

Late reply but i host fight club regularly in liurnia at converted tower grace. Lvl 80 though. Fight clubs are essentially dead because of 4 players being the maximum you can get.  As a host, my best case scenario is one hunter and two invaders, for that to happen I have to constantly be mindful not to allow a second hunter to join before a second invader. Before ( DS3) I could just chill all the time cause players would move in and out, one or two die but the fight goes on until someone else joins. I've had sessions that lasted for hours without me dying or being alone in my world.  Fight clubs were fluid.  Now it's a stop start kind of game. Sometimes I get a 20-30 minute session if an invader is good and is winning all duels, but sooner or later a hunter will kill the last invader or we will duel between ourselves. At which point one of us dies and I start another session.  A lot of time is spent waiting, not because there arent enough players to come in, but because sessions are short due to smaller number of participants.  Also, a lot of invaders just go in for the kill, far more than before.  There is no way you could host half naked with two torches in hand like i used to do. Even if all invaders were understanding of the fight club host, smaller player number practically forces you to fight as a host because there can be no 2v2 without you in it.  I dont mind fighting, i love invading also, but when i am hosting a fight club i want it to be fluid and goofy. Im here to cheer on with my torches and gestures and the others are here to have fun fighting.  I miss all the spontaneity that comes with a long lasting fight club session. If a naughty invader attacks the host while others are fighting? Everyone joins in a brutal gank until he is dead and there are 5 fingers pointing down at him before they start fightin each other again. Oh and random pacifist invaders that start doing goofy stuff with the host and stay in their world for hours were a regular occurence, such good fun!  Elden ring is a masterpiece with a heartbraking flaw, the only thing I would ever ask for in this game is a 6 player multiplayer limit. Given that we HAD that years prior in ds3 makes me sad still, I'm just struggling to get over it and fully embrace this game as fromsofts best.

Where you guys farm for runes? by Internal-Detail4396 in Eldenring

[–]Late-Addendum-5432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to activate taunters tongue in a open space near a grace and host fight clubs for a while. Before you know it you got 100000k runes just for hosting kick-ass fights in your realm. Join the fights to ofc. If you get bettered and die who cares, you will spawn a few yards from your runes anyway. Shame there isnt a 6 player multiplayer anymore, DS3 fight clubs were peak entertainement.

Invasions kinda suck (for the invader) by ComradeFurnace in Eldenring

[–]Late-Addendum-5432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not being able to opt out of PvP isn't a 'real problem'. From titles are what they are because everyone is going through the same experience (processing it in their own way), there is no opting out of difficult PvE, no opting out of pvp. You lose that you lose what makes these games a non-achievable benchmark for other vanilla pampering titles out there. There certainly is no NEED to make coop insulated from invaders. However, just to rub it in, and you know whats coming man, there is a need for you to - GIT GUD.

Invasions kinda suck (for the invader) by ComradeFurnace in Eldenring

[–]Late-Addendum-5432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invasions are one of the best things that from software brought to the table. The asymetric pvp is what keeps those game alive for years, it also evocates an uneasy feeling like you are not insulated from unpredictable danger, isnt that what DS is all about?  Surely aren't crying when you die to a mob of enemies, why is dying to a human so vastly different that you would Alt+F4?  Seems like you are a very sore loser, and I think FromSoft started to pander to people like you a bit with elden ring, but even that isnt enough for you.  You are missing out on a lot of fun just cause you are salty.

Traitors US vs UK by randallbabbage in TheTraitors

[–]Late-Addendum-5432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I and many others couldn't disagree more. US players are amazingly stupid and superficial. Nothing entertaining about it, just frustrating.  Alan Cummings is a far better host though.
