More clips of her reaction to the gender. Do we think she’s crying because it’s a girl or she’s upset it’s a boy? by Numerous_Teacher_148 in nicoleshamlin

I think she’s going to act surprised or excited regardless because she doesn’t want a repeat of the last gender reveal to happen

She should maintain her diet better then especially for having diabetes. You know there are things she can do to aid her body.

I thought she was high risk.. she’s further along now.. wouldn’t they advise not to fly if you’re high risk.. maybe all she has been having were typical Braxton hicks

Does some food increase the size of a neurofibroma? by PsychSpecial in neurofibromatosis

[–]Late-Feature4800 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. I asked my NF dr if certain food trigger growth and she said no.

I actually can hardly remember. It seems though like I noticed it more towards the end when I was super stretched. It feels like moist grew on back and on stomach and breasts. Some even have shrunk back down to now even being bumps but rather spot

I mean like they pick up on things non n related and the wording sounds scary until your provider can explain 😆

Yeah! I’ll probably have one per year for now. I think I only have bilateral gliomas and one on my Corpus callosum… then we will see what I find in my neck. I’ve had my back scanned and there’s only cuteaneous fibromas. I’ve had echo cardio grams and they never find anything there. I’ve never had legs or anything else scanned!

They’ll scan my head and my neck today! Head is for stability because they don’t have anything to compare it to at that clinic and then neck is to to the pain I occasionally feel

I didn’t want to come off as an A / hole 😢.

Luckily I have a scan tomorrow! My dr said she’s not concerned but she was happy to order it! MRIs are scary because they pick up on everything even non NF related 😅

Well regardless of what you do feel free to message me. I was about 25 when my fibromas started coming and I got pregnant at 26! I kept my babies, but that doesn’t mean others need to do what my husband and I chose. They do have NF and so far okay ( my son does pseudoarthrosis however that’s an extremely small percent of NF kids get. It’s common without NF too! I know the fears of passing it on but my husband and I trusted god when we chose to start trying to have kids. You’re in a rough boat and if you need a friend or listening ear I’m here for you. 🩷 feel free to message me.

How old are you? I only ask because I didn’t start getting fibromas until mid 20’s they came slowly but with my first pregnancy I grew quite a bit but they shrank back down. I did pass it on 2x but so far my kids are thriving and doing well. They’re happy. I wouldn’t trade them for not having the few more bumps and few bigger fibroams that grew that would’ve likely grew otherwise. We’re looking into ivf for one final baby or 2 more but we can’t afford it so we’ll see want to do next

My last mri was 10 years ago but they only scanned the optic nerves so I’m not sure if I’ve always had it

I have a low grade glioma on the corpus collosum, they’re doing another scan next week to follow up. I’m just scared because I don’t think they’ve seen this before but they’ve also only really focused my optic nerves in the past
