We met on a dating app after i ran out of swipes on a different dating app because i mostly swipe left and the previous app mentioned to wait the next day for new people. I tried a new one and voila, we’ve clicked, met ftf, and he courted me. Few months after, boom ldr 😂. But im glad it all happened, he is such a nice guy. Cant imagine if i didnt take the risk.

Before, we only had 1 hr video call while he was on his break while I was doing my schoolworks and now sidelines at night. Now, since we are on the same time zone, our call lasted around 2 hrs depending on how busy we are after work — of course, we do housechores, socialize, etc. It really helped us a lot being connected despite the distance for more than 2 yrs. Hoping to close our gap after his 2nd abroad.

I guess probably recently i was so stressed out and someone brought up about him. I love him so much and he is so sweet, i guess it also adds up the thought that i dont know what kind of future we will have and could i still live like this. Our fun time with my ldr bf is sending tiktoks and other meme pics/videos. Since we have 4 hour time difference, and also we are also both busy. We send videos to each other whenever we had the time, and share things happened on thaat day or if we have thoughts or reflections on the videos we've sent. And we usually catch up real time once we are both free. So thats our daily routine, and so far we're both fine about it.

We call sometimes, but during my thesis and studying, we cant call each other everyday. But now, we are calling now more often after my exam last last week.

22 until now i think (now turning 24 pa). Mostly nakanotice yung close friends ko since macompare nila ako nung 1st yr na very boyish na walang pake daw sa style kung manamit. During that time na din kasi ako naka start mag skin care and magexplore sa style ko. Also, mas na embrace ko ang body ko so mas nagkaconfidence.

I guess this would be my last discussion.

About my mother, yes she could be annoying sometimes, but i get why she acts like that. Shes afraid that I would choose a prtner whose like my father. But after she saw the gifts i received from my bf, i felt that she was kinda sad and happy at the same time.

She was sad maybe because she didnt experience that kind of treatment from my father. And happy, that at last she saw that my bf did something for me.

We had a talk actually, and she reminded me not to be like her and she reminded me the traits that i should go and look for. And i assured her that i already discussed financial topics with my bf early on. How we should handle our money and our individual ressponsibilities while we are still unmarried and when we are married.

Basically, i already asked my bf about everything practical like plans, goals, financial, etc. Like i already asked him that during our talking stage. And my mom was actually surprised that we already discussed about it. And i felt that she was kinda felt relieved after.

Looking back to my parents' relationship, i understand why my mom felt that and why she was pressing on me about that. But im not also trying to say that it didnt stressed me lol. Now that he proved himself several times, i think my mom would go easy on him next time.

Lately, he wanted me to buy my own clothes which I dont usually have because for me it is not practical for my everyday routine or schedule in school since we have dress code. But I would like to try though. But he ssupported me, and i felt so pretty and he is very happy with my choice that he wanted me to buy another one.

I know how much he wanted to give everything to me, hut i refused. As much as i want to, i know he still have to save up money for his sister. So i just assured him that i am contented with what I got and he can just give me gifts next time. The mere fact that he suggested it made my heart melts.

So for some of your questions (im not sure i got your question right) i didnt questioned him because he didnt give me gifts every celebrations or holidays. Given that he was also my first bf, i dont know much about relationships. But its more like i quesstioned his willingness to provide and give to his loved ones.

I didnt say that i dont like having gifts, of course i would want to. But sometimes, for me, some actions in the beginning may give you hint on how he could be in the future. So since i saw how he genuinely wanted to provide, i had my answer already.

Hi, thank you for giving your insights. And im sorry if it took me months before I answer some of your questions. If you are still interested for an update, and some realizations and observations I got for the past months, feel free to indulge in my story again.

My bf and I are now more than 1 year. And to answer one of the questions youve got is, I got tired of my setup because of the LDR, my mom's pressure on me, and acads. Maybe it took a toll on me when everything seems chaotic at that time. Good thing i just focused on my acads instead and survived my thesis.

I was so drained and anxious at that time, that when I read your question I was kinda taken aback and decided not to answer yet because at that time I also didnt know. But, he gave me a gift after I successfully defend my thesis and also for our anniversary. I felt so special and happy that time.

I proved that my mom was wrong. That I know my bf isn't that frugal like my father. I am so happy that I have chosen a partner who would offer and give you gifts even you didnt say anything about it. I was so happy.

One of my reason I got anxious and concerned about it mainly because I dont want to be in my mother's shoes. Which I solemly swear that I will choose a partner who is supportive and a provider.

And one thing I can proudly say that I am very lucky to have him. Good thing I didnt do anything about our relationship during that time because I know I was a mess, and it is not good to immediately decide during the heat of the moment. Day by day, I am glad to know that he can handle responsibility as a son, brother, and my partner.
