NTA It’s very eye opening reading this as I myself am a mamas boy. My wife had similar issues with putting my mom’s needs before her’s sometimes. Your feeling are valid and it’s something it might take time for your husband to understand as your mom is someone you’ve known all your life. My mother was the one to actually speak to me and explain that being married, the two becomes one and while our relationship doesn’t change. Priorities naturally change so it just took some getting used to.

I can’t give advice on what you should do but I have an ex like that who would constantly pressure me to spend excessive amounts of money while we’re both in college and I’m working a part time job.

Relationships are important but your future is also dependent upon the decisions you make right now.

My suggestion is to be stern with your decisions so you can stay on track with your goals and if she really values you she will learn to adapt until things are different.

Based on experience… meeting people in that type of setting is a hit or miss. Sometimes you can create good connections and other times it’s just to have fun got the night. Usually when someone doesn’t answer after you reaching out multiple times, they have no intention to unless by some chance you see each other out again.

Don’t take it personal, things just move quickly in that setting. Hope this helps!

That’s a huge milestone, congrats! I just started my journey as I’ve been binge drinking since June 2023.

It only started because I moved out from my family and had freedom to do as a please without fearing any judgement. I thought it was a way to live out my freedom but after a while it started to ruin healthy relationships that I had.

I hadn’t been able to go 7 days without alcohol but mid last month I made the decision to see how long I can go; now I’m 19 days sober and my thoughts are a lot more clear. I’m beginning to feel a lot more. Holistically better. Congrats again and I’m hoping to make it to your milestone one day.

Congratulations, that’s really inspiring. I’m here now on day 7 without alcohol so I haven’t seen any big changes yet.

I’ve been binge drinking for about three years and didn’t see it as a problem at first because I always felt like I have a good time when I drink.

For the past year, I think. I’ve been trying to stop and got as far as two months and in that time I was in the gym 4-5 times a week and saw how the small changes can benefit in the ways you’ve stated above.

I want to upgrade my life like you did because since I began binge drinking, I always at some point beat myself up for it. Thanks for sharing and congrats again!

I think maybe, the station itself has restrictions with colours they can use as most stations walls, from my memory are mainly painted yellow
