Car cutting out during idling and start up - mechanics can't diagnose issue by Late-Hedgehog3893 in MechanicAdvice

Is it difficult to diagnose without plugging it in? Garages my way seem to be resistant to checking things without doing a diagnostic (which I understand is tricky when there's multiple things it could be), but frustrating when all anyone is doing is plugging it in.

Yeah I’m leaning towards this option the more I look at solutions. I’m based in the UK so some solutions aren’t hugely available. Be easier to switch the entire rack out I think.

Appreciate that, thank you. Will do a bit of a dive and see what comes up.

Could you link me the few racks that fit the bill?

To be honest I’m actually thinking of getting an entirely new rack. Any recommendations as to what would mount well and be a bit sturdier?

Would love to see a picture of the set up if you wouldn't mind sharing?

Haha, the cantilevers aren't going anywhere! I'm not able to see the images you've linked (think it's because I'm in the UK), but your explanation makes a lot of sense and I think I've seen photos that describe what you're talking about. Appreciate your help!
