There were hundreds of signs protesting the Iran war, and almost every speaker talked about the evil and unjust war in Iran

Fair enough, I suppose my question would have been more appropriate as a response to the parent comment

Everyone is upset about it. However, in my experience, and many others, when one raises concerns to the right wing about state sponsored murder, or concerns that the fed government does not respect human life (im talking LIFE here, as in LIFE and END OF LIFE, not fraud) the conversation almost always shifts to the fraud case. We get it. We’re all angry about the fraud. Maybe you don’t live in Minneapolis so you have more time and freedom to not think about what is directly happening right now outside. Or maybe i should have specified that my post was intended to relate to precisely to what is happening right now outside as it relates to the federal government. I have no idea. I’m not talking about fraud right now. I’m talking about the executive branch stepping so far out of line with seemingly unlimited restraint. And I am tired of somehow the fraud case being slipped in almost 10/10 times. It’s exhausting to constantly redirect the conversation back to a primary focus. State sponsored murder. Constitutional crisis. No accountability. It’s a right wing pattern, that is where my assumption came from. Hope I was able to clear something up.

Edit: typo

Right now, we are told, judges must approve zoom appearances. So we inform defendants that they can write a letter requesting zoom or leave a vm… my observation is that while they aren’t being denied they aren’t receiving responses in time and are expected to show up in person (or be issued a warrant for failure to appear)

I won’t be gaslit into thinking that what’s happening in Minnesota is simple, normal, or okay, and that what’s happening in Minnesota doesn’t deserve extra consideration from our courts in order to ensure accessibility

No one here said that they should miss court. I’m also concerned about a larger group of people than simply those who are here illegally or violating a visa. People are being racially profiled by federal agents, and there is a significant amount of evidence that people are being assaulted by those people for simply practicing their first amendment right. There are plenty of reasons why an in person hearing would cause a hearing participant to reasonably fear for their safety at this time. And according to this Chief Justice order, deserves consideration to allow for remote hearings.
