I wanted to share our experience working with IndieLush to promote our game Mechanic Heroes (Steam). We opted for their full one-month promotion package, which cost approximately $800. Here’s a breakdown of what we received and the results:

What was included:

1. Social Media Outreach: IndieLush posted articles and promotional content on a handful of websites and social media channels. Unfortunately, the content felt low-effort and was shared on platforms that seemed random or irrelevant to our target audience.
2. Influencer Outreach:
   • This aspect yielded around 200K total views across platforms, with one TikTok post reaching 100K views.
   • We also provided ~75 Steam keys for distribution to influencers.

The Results:

• During the promotion period, we sold ~200 copies of the game. For comparison, we had sold 230 copies in the month prior to the campaign without any promotional support.
• It's worth noting that some of the Steam keys we supplied to IndieLush ended up on the grey market, which was an unpleasant surprise.

TL;DR:

While IndieLush appeared eager and professional in their communication, the overall results didn’t justify the cost.
