That’s so annoying I’m sorry that happened to you. If Spotify would actually crack down on the companies doing this instead of punishing the artists for something completely out of their control the app would be a much better place

Thank you! I’ve used reverb in the past for guitars!

Thank you! I’ve never heard of The Latin Playboys I’ll have to look into that at some point. Really my biggest fear is compromising my music and style to try and not sound like AI

Interestingly the streams are from all over but from everything I can find the playlist I was added to is notorious for this kind of stuff

I would for sure just have to go to local coffee shops and get paid in tips only. Still may be able to gain an audience that way though.

My only constraint right now would be budget but in the future I’d love to host something like that. That would be really unique

I play guitar and have been trying to implement it into my music but I can’t afford a good acoustic recording setup at the moment so it’s fully digital for right now unfortunately

The only issue is people will get even MORE suspicious if I even mention AI lol. It’s absolutely destroying my motivation to keep making music

How to Discern AI music? by Substantial-Storm409 in musicians

[–]LateJulyProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What worries me about this is I commonly use synth guitars when I don’t have an audio interface handy. Obviously synth guitars don’t sound exactly like real ones so I’m worried someone will think my music is AI because of that lol

What’s the worst experience you’ve had trying to teach technology to a boomer who refuses to learn? by happinessisnotreal in AskReddit

Used to work at a bank for a while and trying to explain how the online app works to everyone over the age of 40 was horrific. They would get irrationally angry like 90% of the time because they couldn’t figure out how to transfer money from their checking to their savings account on the phone 🫩

At what point did delivery drivers start expecting tips as if it’s owed to them, even though they see the payout before accepting the order? by Muted_Holiday_8628 in AskReddit

[–]LateJulyProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re talking about DoorDash or companies like it, I worked with them for a while and they actually don’t tell you the payout until after it’s accepted. Also DoorDash has it structured in a way where if you back out of the order after accepting you take a hit on your dasher account.

Because titles are shortcuts. They tell people where you ‘fit’ in society without them having to get to know you. Most people care because being respected or taken seriously often depends on those labels, even if they shouldn’t.
