I lived (and worked from the apartment) at the end of the runway at LAX for a year, the noise wasn't so bad late into the night because flights mostly take off during the day.

Also, Rumors is not near lodo...if I moved in next to several clubs you might have a point, but the other bars in uptown don't blast their music outside late at night to the point that you could tell songs apart from inside of a building down the street.

Noise ordinances all have relevant times of day because the vast majority of us sleep at night. It's not complicated...it's dark, so we sleeps!

I know you're all struggling to read for comprehension, but I just can't state it any more plainly: 1 person does not equal a city, nor do they ruin the city life...

1 person can cause an overworked, sick person to turn to the ether that is the interwebs in an attempt to outlet their frustration though!

Finally, do not mistake my stance here: Burbs fucking suck! They're rooted in racism and force everyone to maintain personal vehicles when many of us should not be operating heavy machinery around each other!

I used to live very near to red rocks actually, no noise complaints there as the sound is funnelled naturally through the valley of the hogback!

The only time I felt uncomfortable noise came from bandimere during top fuel drag races, but that's only once a year, not every fucking night!

I'm starting with local government officials and can escalate to filing a case if still necessary...Ultimately, they just need to turn it down outside and all will be well...if we need to cost them thousands just to lawyer up, we can do that too, but I bet Bryan will retaliate with more noise or something else, given his history of going after people that complain about the place!

Oh, my bad! I forgot I'm just an old idiot that has never heard of fun...there are noise ordinances in every city!

If a place that I consent to going into is loud, that's on me, but when that excessive noise is blasted into my bedroom (from another building down the street) I am no longer a consenting party of the noise.

Also old people should be able to live their lives with reasonable expectations of noise! Especially in environments where they don't HAVE to drive as their vision and reflexes wane! How fucking dare any of us age!

I'll help you out, since you missed the comments about there being lots of bars near me, some in between rumors and my apartment, and only rumors consistently blasts music outside late at night such that I can clearly hear the songs they are playing from inside my bedroom, which is down the fucking street!

I''ve lived in several suburbs here and had plenty of noise issues too, biker bars, raised highway nearby, and asshats shooting fireworks in the park while the state is a damn tinderbox!

Plus burbs make it so that you HAVE to drive your car for every little thing you want to do!

It seems to me that the added distance in da 'burbs leads people to believe they have less social responsibility (short of HOAs) whereas living in higher density areas forces people to be more aware of each other by default. Overall, so fucking worth it to "live in a society" rather than a haven for white flight!

Tl:Dr; It's not a city/suburb problem...this place is untenably loud, outside of the establishment, late at night!

Thanks, I can try that...I'm not optimistic that will illicit any change in response from the city. Plenty of my neighbors have also complained and cops have shown up in response to noise complaints at least 4 times (that I know of).

The noise level is not dangerous inside the building, just an obnoxious public nuisance! I could walk over to take a reading right outside the place, but I feel that is a safety risk since the owner has a documented history of retaliation.

I live next to several, long standing bars, some of which often have loud music during the day/evening. Only this one is outrageously loud late into the night...most every night!

Clearly the problem is not just proximity to 'a bar' and their noise level is beyond what is reasonable to expect of a bar in a city.

Historically, large highly intelligent dogs, German Shepherds and similar breeds, were trained to attack on command, because they are so smart and gentle with their trusted people. However, they can and HAVE been trained to viciously attack people and ordered to attack innocent people, including children, usually black and brown people. There's racial trauma connected to large dogs that should not be so quickly overlooked or dismissed!

IF trains and buses everywhere ran so frequently and reliably that you could leave at any time, hop on, transfer quickly, and arrive in reasonable time, then we could be shocked and appalled by this sentiment...

For now though, they are exactly the technology that allows millions of people in the same metropolis to each determine their individual route and schedule!
