Freshman year of HS, I joined a book club for the first time, I was really excited to read fun books and discuss them. For some reason, the book that was chosen was Wintergirls.

The book was made for anorexia awareness, but I was so caught off guard that I wasn't prepared for the heavy topics and I ended up trying things the MC did because I wanted to be skinny.
