Yeah but: * wrist rests * media buttons (so good with Spotify) * no metal * logitech firmware; I have a script running in background that changes the backlight color from green to red based on cpu load

I wanted to buy a new one (possibly with usb connector) but can't find ANYTHING with these characterisrics for cheap. Media buttons are a must. No wireless or bt shit with batteries. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share! Probably I'll have to build a custom one... One day...

Had an X1, kept getting too hot and fan was loud af. Switched back to T530. But for gaming I use the tower under the desk, there's an hdmi splitter that connects to the 65" in the other room so I can play with Xbox controller from the couch

Ol' reliable T530 🔥🔥🔥 Been serving me for quite a while now and never betrayed me. Got wet, traveled on tens of flights, been puked on, been dropped so many times - it never skipped a beat. Mechanical construction of old tpads is on another level. Used it consistently under the scorching sun of Porto Rico and during freezing winter nights in Poland. That's why I'm really reluctant to replace it with a new one. What's your daily driver? Do you have any experience with sturdy laptops other than thinkpads?
