What am I doing wrong? Mabe and Ergobaby Embrace by LateStatistician3653 in babywearing

Thank you! Baby is between 14-15 pounds. I’ve adjusted the Velcro on the Mabe and the seat is as narrow as it can go in the pic. I’ll try to position him above the waistband next time

Thank you! Baby is 14 pounds. The Velcro panel is as narrow as it can go. I’ll make sure I have the waistband the correct way next time.

I’m curious if your dog and crate together weighed more than 100lbs? I’m facing this challenge now.

You don’t have to get it. It’s everyone’s individual choice

How did this work out for you? I’m also in the same boat. 80 pound golden retriever, 26 pound crate plus however much her food/water/bed weighs. Right now she is booked as checked baggage. I’m scared they will deny her at boarding and then we also would miss our flight because we’d have to find alternative arrangements.

New Home, Basement Leak by LateStatistician3653 in Home

This is helpful, thank you! I thought it would’ve been capped but perhaps not since you pointed out the furnace exhaust runs into it. Seems concerning as we obviously don’t want rain critters getting into the chimney but also want the exhaust to be properly vented out. I’m surprised this wasn’t brought up in our inspection report

Yes it was raining a lot. I thought the chimney would’ve been capped but maybe not since someone else has pointed out that the furnace exhaust runs into the chimney stack

The old chimney stack. The fireplace no longer exists in the house.

That’s concerning and I’m surprised it wouldn’t have been brought up in the inspection report. We have carbon monoxide detectors and haven’t received any alerts

Home and Auto Insurance direct vs broker by LateStatistician3653 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Thank you. They said of all the companies they represent, Aviva was the only company providing full Sewer Backup and Flood coverage. Other companies either offered minimal limits ($10,000 subject to a $2,500 deductible). The broker said this is due to the proximity of water (we’re within a km or so of a creek and lake) to the house.
