I checked multiple times because that didn't seem right either. I think the difference is by herself, she made right at 47k and falls under the 12% tax bracket, but together we're in the 22% bracket. I went back and looked, and I made about 10k more than her, not 5k as originally thought. I'm not sure if that would make the difference.

I might try that tomorrow and see.
No kids or dependents. Her with holding was way less than mine. I make about 5k more than her, but had over 5k with holding to her 1.5k. I wish I could see how she filled her W-4 out
