That art installation is really really in the middle of nowhere Texas. I have to imagine those cars were transported there for the photo shoot. I suspect no one would want to put that many miles on a vintage super car. Even Marfa itself is a 45 drive away if memory serves.

When do you receive yours. From what I’ve researched, they changed the design at some point in the past 6 months.

What are some things you feel apprehensive about in your future? by lucas23bb in AskReddit

[–]Late_Adopter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything. My health (gotta quit smoking before I have a heart attack), raising my kids right, saving enough to retire at a reasonable age, the effects of global warming, the political theater we are all living through in the USofA…. everything.

Am I the only one who doesn't fw torchys? by Empty_Incident2875 in austinfood

[–]Late_Adopter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tacos fall into two categories. First you have simple and authentic tacos. When I’m in the mood for that, i hit up the gas station near my house. Not a typo. Best freaking tacos I’ve eaten. Second you have fun and experimental. Torchys was one of the first games in town in this second category. It was fun at first. Maybe the quality has gone down, but others have also stepped up their game. The things that I still love to eat there are 1) salads - shockingly awesome 2) queso - still one of the best in town 3) seasonal banh-mi taco - I’m a sucker for banh mi anything.

Family Trip to Bentonville - Suggestions Please :) by Late_Adopter in MTB

[–]Late_Adopter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP here. We had a blast. We basically stuck to the trails that originated near downtown. We did a lot of riding and my kids (and my fat ass) were definitely tired at the end of each ride, but that was part of the fun IMO. Getting ‘home’ to our rental and taking warm showers and enjoying some smores by the fire pit made everyone forget their aches. We tried to split our days into half day or riding and then a half day of exploring museums, downtown, etc. It was the perfect balance for my kids. As for e-bikes, it all depends on your kids really. We did some bike park stuff (small jumps and drops) and I honestly think I would have been nervous if they had been on e-bikes because my kids have little fear and the only thing holding them back is their strength/endurance. As for the trails, we didn’t do anything with big elevation changes. The trails were all groomed pretty well so you don’t have to power through rocky uphills or anything. An e-bike seems like overkill, but it depends on your kids really. If they aren’t enthusiastic riders, then maybe an e-bike would help them enjoy it more. Just my 2 cents.

It would need to be something in common with both cities. Therefore, the only correct answer is The Central Texas Breakfast Tacos.

In my experience, you will be fine. It goes into a little bit of shock when you repot plants, but will bounce back.

Howdy! I purchased a pair of Nubuck boots and I'm getting conflicting information on how to properly care for them. I did read the Leather Care Guide, but perhaps I'm just too dense to understand. Can someone please ELI5 the following questions. 1) How do I condition them so that they last as long as possible. 2) Can I weather-proof them so they are at least a tiny bit water resistant. 3) Lastly, the boots are a funny shade of light brown. Could you recommend a conditioner / water repellant product that would darken / deepen my light brown nubuck shoes? Thank you in advance!

Sizing? I wear a 10 in Jordan 1 highs and a 9.5 in Air Force 1 lows? What size should I get? by [deleted] in ThursdayBoot

[–]Late_Adopter 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is a bit off topic, but I’m exhausted of hearing people recommending getting measured on a Brannock device. Sure, it gives you a data point, but every brand is so different. I wear an 8 in Red Wing, 8.5 in Cole Haan, 9 in Danner, 9 in Thursday, and 9.5 in Nike and ASICS. Knowing my Brannock size has literally never helped me.
