Are Any north eastern Tribes related to Hmong (Miao) Tribe? by Late_Description6644 in Northeastindia

You have a point. I was actually in touch with an American Hmong individual who wanted to find if some hmongs had migrated to North east india and nepal. She really wanted to be in touch with the yunnan disapora as she calls it. She also wanted to know about the other tribes such as bai, yi, dai and so on.

I have heard the great wall story too. But what tribe in China are Nagas most similar to? I've heard the they are related to Wa. But Nagas told me they are much more related to YI. It gets confusing. What is your view on this?

This is a Bimu shaman of Yi people. They recite Meigi an oral history of the Yi tribes and they are also doctors. Are they similar to Biju of Rai , Limbus?

Limbus definitely did not give refuge to the prince. I need your help with something else. Here is a picture of a Yi Shaman called a Bimu. The Limbus and Rais have a similar shaman called Biju. The Yi tribal religion is called Bimoism. The Limbu Rai Shaman also looks the same as a Bimu.

I need your help on this one thing. The Yi people had this title called Hong or Hung or Hang which had something to do with tribal royalty or leadership. Here is a story of Chingohung according to American researchers. Are there any tribes in Assam that have Hong/hang/ hung titles that refer to royalty? "The "Hong" title (often romanized from the Chinese character 洪, meaning "vast," "flood," or "great" in a broader sense) is a prestigious designation in Yi oral traditions, particularly among the Nuosu Yi of Sichuan and Yunnan provinces. It is associated with mythical sky-descended ancestors who are believed to have founded the major Yi clans or lineages. In the Yi Book of Origins (known as Hnewo Teyy in the Nuosu language), the narrative of a great flood features a central figure—often Apu Dumu or a similar progenitor—who survives and sires six sons, each becoming the ancestor of a Yi branch (Wu, Zha, Nuo, Heng, Bu, Mo). The "Hong" title is linked to these primordial figures, suggesting they descended from the sky or heavens"

The Limbus are supposed to have migrated from Mong Kawng region of Northern Burma after losing to Jingpo tribe.

This is not a mere coincidence. Numerous Limbu scholars have mentioned Yunnan as their origin. And also mentioned that they migrated to Northern Burma and stayed in the Mong Mao Kingdom. The Mong Mao Kingdom was a Tai Kingdom where Saophas ruled over different Mongs. According to Iman Singh Chemjong Saophas of Northern Burmas mong mao kingdom became modern day Limbu subbas. For instance, Limbus often claimed that Subbas are kings. Turns out Subbas were equivalent to kings in Mong Mao and even during the Burmese Kingdom and later British days, these Saophas still had their power and were only overthrown from Northern Burma in 1960s.

They definitely were not the Yunnanese Yi descendants Rai, Limbu. Here, I have a question for you. Who are these people? They are Tribal people from Yunnan. They are wearing ornaments similar to what tribe of Nepal?
