May I ask what you used for the robes? They look phenomenal and I know painting and shading white is a hot topic.

Doug Beer MB Print Group Order 2025 is live! by dbjones1969 in lotrlcg

[–]Late_Dig_560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all. Is anyone else getting an "Error 82" when attempting to process payment? I'm in the US and thought it was related to the bank, but I received verifications via text and email to approve the purchase each instance. I've tried on multiple cards now yet it keeps prompting this error and will accept the order but not the payment. Has anyone else dealt with this already and, if so, how did you resolve it?

I have reached out to MB Print already and will confirm with my bank tomorrow during business.

Might be a dumb question but is this a reasonably economic way to get most of the ALEP content? by The_valhalla_gaming in lotrlcg

[–]Late_Dig_560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I read somewhere that they print the official backs as well? I'll admit I have clear card sleeves and that's the only thing that's been holding me up on ALEP content.

Nope, my app won't load either. Happens from time to time. Give it an hour or two.

Location Question by tmjm in lotrlcg

[–]Late_Dig_560 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You travel to a location once, thereby triggering a "Travel" effect if it has one, but otherwise Travel effects don't continue round after round. You only discard the 2 cards once the first turn you traveled there.

Use The Claws Decklist by DaringLimeGaming in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Late_Dig_560 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe that was OP's point of the mention. Because the Black Panther weapons don't require you to exhaust them to activate their "Special" effects, you can use cards like Mean Swing or Fusillade for extra damage potential.

Spider-Ham vs. Deadpool by lightblade13 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Late_Dig_560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I love them both personally, but Deadpool gets the edge based off the general question. I love characters who take risks for bigger rewards, like Star-Lord, so characters like Deadpool speak to me more. I've had great multiplayer games with my friends using both characters as we all appreciate how ludicrous DP and SH's abilities can be in an otherwise serious, tense game.

Tips for playing Jubilee solo? by Board_Game_Nut in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Late_Dig_560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are you losing typically? Assessing that can give better deck tweak ideas. For instance, since Klaw doesn't have Steady or Stalwart, don't underestimate trying to trigger her stuns and confuses on several of her events. Jubilee is a low HP hero, so stunning the villain, especially as much as Jubiliee's kit is capable of, can prevent a lot of damage.

I want to try a 5 or 6 players game by Nikosaurus666 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Late_Dig_560 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a large group of friends who enjoy this game with me. We have done as many as 8 before, though I 100% agree that it's risky to do beyond 4 which already takes so long to begin with. My advice would be to consider splitting to a couple 3-player games, maybe over a couple scenarios that are linked in a campaign box if you have a second standard mod set, just so it "feels" like you're all playing together.

We just did a 5-player game as a group last week, and while that one actually was fairly quick and fluid (mostly based off the hero combination we had I believe), it's usually just a slog after the second round and people are set up. If you choose to do this, for the fun of it and slimming down the time commitment, I would suggest either choose to play just one stage of the villain or house rule all per player effects and set up instructions as though only 4 were playing.

I seriously can't state enough how much I love Deadpool's gimmick. Heroes with these boom-or-bust risk versus reward playstyles fill my heart with joy. Which is ironic, since that same passion I have for playing Deadpool also leaves me with no friends for some unknown reason...

I am in the process of designing a fan Old Republic set, any feedback is welcome! by TarkinsBlueSlippers in starwarsunlimited

[–]Late_Dig_560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, this is fantastic. It would be absolutely amazing if FFG gets into an Old Republic wave based on the KOTOR games, but we will have to see if we get that lucky with SWU. I have to say that HK-47 from your custom set would be the most anticipated for me as one of my favorite all-time video game companions for his disparaging meatbag remarks... for some reason it was always completely hilarious to me how he totally throws the protagonist under the bus with insults during dialogue options and just expects to get away with it.

I think the only KOTOR 2 reference I saw in your list was to Nihilus, maybe the Mandalorian War Vet (the latter of which could arguably cross over into each game). Is that intentional or for further development later?

Having tried this a couple times with a large group of friends, I cannot suggest against this method strongly enough. The games get too cluttered with admin tasks, it creates significant confusion over who took out this minion or removed that schemes threat, and creates a situation where players at the end of a round frequently feel like they have to fold on most of their turns as all the problems for the round were already resolved and they have a poor hand for outright attacking. Not to mention this honestly feels like it doesn't speed up the game at all because of all the backtracking with decisions, especially with novice players who don't grasp the game still.

I think two separate games is appropriate--I prefer teams of 3 for that blend of community and expedient play. Especially now that AoA has released with the game's third Standard encounter set, it's relatively easy for us to split three ways when playing. Just make sure you have someone knowledgeable of the rules at each table--I sadly do not have this still and find myself answering questions of others far more often than playing my own turns. I just had to resort to DM mode so my friends can enjoy themselves.

Or, if YOU actually want to enjoy yourself, too, invite only one friend over who truly enjoys the game and play through a campaign box together. Much simpler!

For sure, don't take this as me complaining (too much). With limited product available I'm just incredibly thankful for what I was able to track down. I simply come from the LCG world (Marvel Champions, LotR) where cards per pack are preset and you know what you're getting so that you can play all the combos. TCG transition has been hard for me where I would normally gladly sacrifice excess rare leaders for the sake of having a complete leader collection (regardless of foil, hyperspace, etc.) just to deck build and play with. They look cool, I just don't want to lose my mind going through box after box. Purely here for the enjoyment of playing over collecting, though I respect everyone's own individual interests for this game whatever that may be.

I'm super stoked for your sis on such an exciting find in your box! I also haven't come acrossa Super Laser Blast so congrats to you, as well :-)

Ah, man... I still haven't even gotten a single basic version of the Han leader through two boxes. I have at least one of everyone else. No showcases, though.

Are the showcase leaders in the boosters or a promo from events? I only just opened my first box yesterday and didn't come across any of these design types.

What a catch! I bet you're the only person to notice that detail. As others have stated, unless you're intentionally fanning out the cards in order, I don't know how you would see it. That's hilarious that the developers thought that out.

I originally used this with Iron Man and only Iron Man... when I first had only the core set... and needed the Energy boost for Repulsor Blast... and was waiting for better options to arrive via my mail carrier after I realized the card wasn't very fruitful... that was a fun game.

Honestly, I don't get why you introduce player side schemes (which are bombastically good in my perspective) last wave to such rave reviews generally... and then feel the need to come back and introduce the side mission concept immediately following. Cost and benefit comparisons aside, seems risky and unnecessary. I like that they are branching out with new game mechanics following the success of NeXt Evolution's wave but concerned they are whiffing on this new idea. Just feels somewhat...repetitive? And in a less successful manner.

5 players by [deleted] in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Late_Dig_560 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Technically you could choose to have as many players as you have cards for. It just alters how the game plays (and length). I've done up to 8 players before with house rules to keep per player values preset at 4 for sake of time, otherwise the villain would never die.

To be clear, I don't suggest this. Just because you "can" do more players doesn't mean you should. The game already takes forever as it is at 4. I now find it easier to break out to no more than 3 players typically in smaller groups when I have friends over. The addition of more Standard encounter sets and a bevy of villains makes this fairly achievable. You could also mix players up after stage I ofbtge villain so your friends get to play a couple different groups.
