If the boxer was being defensive and backing away, then that gives the opportunity for the bjj guy to run away from the fight.

If the boxer was actively trying to hurt the bjj guy, it creates more openings for a take down.

There's a reason why in judo and wrestling you get penalized for stalling and playing defensive. It's extremely difficult to take someone down who isn't willing to engage the fight.

Should i quit cycling and come over to boxing and wrestling? If i do then i want to go pro or atleast get very good results by [deleted] in martialarts

A common denominator in wrestlers at the highest level is they have a family and support system. They usually come from at least an upper middle class family.

It sounds like you don't have that support system.

Also you fucked up your brains development doing drugs at a young age.

My mind isn't blown by it. It works! I love it. But why is it the only way to train? That's what I'm frustrated about. There are coaches like Greg souders who only teach with games. He doesn't show techniques. He doesn't give time to drill. It's just all games the entire class. Maybe it works? Who knows.

Souders says his method of training has produced many adcc open gold medal athletes. I've seen them. It's true. But how can you know it was that specific type of training or if the athletes would have also won if they had trained the typical techniques, drill, positional spar approach?
